Guest Trivia247 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 We view Hogan, as a Character wrestler. Someone who maybe popular just because of Presence and Character and Not because of Any real wrestling talnet. At best Hogan can be decent, you could probably see these efforts more clearly in his Japan matches. But more or less, its a Punch Clothesline affair, with a dramatic beatdown leading to the Hulk up and thats all she wrote. All we bash about Hogan I think we can agree that Hogan wasn't Half as bad in his 2nd WWF Run when he first won the title, than he was in WCW. Hogan went to WCW and was given the keys to a car with no seatbelts and airbags. Like Nash, Hogan was a active wrestler that was able to Book matches, or put his two cents into such matches which effected the Product. Hogan not wanting to Job, Hogan not wanting to Sell. Hogan wanting to remain at the top of the hill even at the expense of wrestlers around him whom he would use to step on to remain where he is... We see this, and we became very vocal about Hogan. then the crap with Russo and that intrigue that made Hogan proverbally "Pick up his Ball and go home" From WCW. Around Wm17 rolled around and the WWF wanted Hogan to come in to do the Gimmick Battle royal appearance, Hogan still feeling the WCW Elitist Ego trip declined. So he sat at home and waited. Hogan finally makes his return to WWF. with the nWo gimmick back in play. And Hogan came back with not only a On air Humble personna, even in his heelness his mic times got the crowd worked up. Backstage though he was also not like the Prima donna of old (SP on that I always mispell that word) Rock vs Hogan at Wm 18 pretty much cemented Hogan's return to Popularity. Ok all that was the background... Now heres the Irony... Hogan's second stint in WWF he hardly ever jobbed to anyone, and didn't put too many people over at all. In WCW he was Worse because they gave him power too. Now goes to WWE and what happens? Jobs to Rock Jobs to Undertaker Jobs to Kurt Angle Wins the tag titles with Edge (the first time he wore a title lower than World title.) Loses said titles. The only WIN he ever got on PPV..... Was against... HHH! so question is, What kind of Paradox makes the No pushing HHH Push Hogan? even in a tainted victory. How many people this year defeated HHH? Angle at No Way Out and Hogan at which PPV Jugement Day?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 The greater irony is that he did all those jobs and isn't around anymore because he refused to do another one. HHH also lost to Taker because he had to have surgery. But the fact is, and always has been that HHH will lose to people who are no threat to take his spot. Taker's already up there, Hogan and HBK are no threat. And he always gets the wins back from Angle immediatly.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 well it was one HHH versus another... I guess senority rules... and I'll bet that Hunter didn't see Hogan as sticking around long enough for that lose to effect him...and most people say "well who cares if Hunter lost...it was the Immortal Hulk Hogan~!" Nobody cares that Hogan jobbed to Taker, Angle, the Rock, or Brock...they don't talk about it, they don't care..... if it was talked about...it would be different... nobody talks about his WIN either...because it doesn't matter anymore... because he is GONE...and Hunter is still here...

Actually in the Push for Brock They base his greatest Achievement in Defeating Hogan So Soundly. So we are reminded of that.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 okay.... but they are trying to get Brock over as the UNSTOPPABLE FORCE~! and nobody cares anyway...
Guest edotherocket Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I always wondered how Triple H would word something about protecting his precious heat. Wouldn't he have to admit that Jericho is threat because he can wrestle better/is more charismatic etc. I always liked the idea of Heyman or Gerwitz trying a bit of the old reverse psychology on the guy: "Well we better let Trips win this one because if he loses then the fans will instantly forget him and root for Jericho" HHH: "Oh yeah?! I'll show you! Let me job to him tonight and we'll see who the fans cheer for"
