Guest BoboBrazil Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 This week's edition of Smackdown did a 3.6 broadcast rating, with a 5 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is up from last week's 3.3 and five share. 1wrestling.com So basically it stayed it's average from before Halloween.
Guest Breetai Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 So it WAS just the holiday. Of course the fact that 3.7>3.4 and 3.6>3.5 won't convince Vinnie Mac that Wrestling>S.E. now, will it? Question: was 2 weeks ago (the 3.7 rating) the first time that Smackdown ever got a higher score than RAW? Because I think it was.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I don't think a .3 increase followed by a .1 increase will convince him of anything.

Guest RenegadeX28 Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Hey, at least SD deserves the rating after that PPV caliber tag match....
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Imagine if SD! was on a REAL network, like CBS. It'd be a 4.2 easy.
Guest Choken One Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 It would never be on CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX is a long shot. I really think WWE's best network is UPN whom will cater to them because 3.5 is great for UPN. 4.2 WOULD get canceled after a year at the most on the big 4.

They could get better ratings on the WB, TBS, TNT, TNN, USA, ESPN You name it.
Guest mister foozel Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 who gives a fuck just watch the show
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 who gives a fuck just watch the show I was gonna get angry, but then I relized that I'm getting bitched at by... a ... Green Day.. fan. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Hey man, 1994 called...
Guest Choken One Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 It really won't be that much different...3.5 is nothing much from a 3.8 which they would realistically get from TNT or FX or something. Would TNT advertise as often? Remember when Nitro got 5.1 each week? They STILL hardly advertised them. Wrestling was a joke to TNT and TBS...TNN has taken it seriously, USA is past the gimmicky shows...TBS is a complete shamble of a network these days...ESPN would NEVER promote Wrestling...WB wouldn't be much different then UPN.

Well, ESPN has promoted Wrestling. And Ted Turner would try and get it promoted since he was always loyal to wrestling. I was just saying that these are all examples of networks that are in more areas than UPN
Guest Choken One Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Ted Turner has ZERO power with Time Warner/AOL. He is pretty much a Name for them. I believe he only owns the Braves now outright. ESPN advertised GLOW because they had control of it...besides ESPN is a Profamily corportation. Of course UPN isn't the best option but all the better ones won't stick with it as UPN intends to. It isn't like Buffy and Enterprise will suddenly get 10.3 ratings.
Guest CanadianChick Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 I think that UPN is a good home for Smackdown. This way WWE isn't in danger of being dropped like a rock.
