hypthetically, i would prefer benoit won the title. but that's just dreaming. if brock couldn't make sur series then you do an angle that allows him to keep the belt until they can assess how long he is out. if he isn;t able to defend for an extended period of time then job him out to anyone but the big show!!!!

hey kahran, i really like the idea of benoit holding the itle but do you realistically think that would happen? while we love the man's work, he is in serious need of some heat and doubt he would be viewed as an appropriate choice to headline mania.

Well, then you can job him back to Brock. But he is good for a placeholder champ. Benoit won't bring in the crowds, but he won't drive away the guys you already have and you don't want to waste Angle on a makeshift title run.

i totally agree. i think he deserves to be champ. i think having shane o mac as a mouthpiece would also give him some much needed heel heat. shane could dance and the crowd would call for his head. in fact, this is the only instance i can think of where i would want shane back on my tv screen.

Or better yet, Heyman. Heyman can take over Benoit while Brock is out, and you can have Lesnar returned pissed that Heyman gave up on him.

Not to sound like JR, but Brock is a tough "SOB." His back ground says that alone. He'll work the Match. If he's hurt, the match is going to suck, but most of us thought that in the first place.

Brock is a very tough guy...He wasn't going into a 20 minute submission war here...just a 8 minute brawl. All this really does here is allow Brock to get beat badly, fight back...attempt the F5...Heyman screams "I told You!" Brock shoves Heyman down...Clothelines Show and hits his SSP. Sells the injury...Angle takes advantage during a Brock/Edge Vs Angle/Show Tag match...Angle destroys Brock. Brock leaves to recuperate....Angle gets a suspension of 30 days (to get his surgery). Brock returns at NWO...Angle wins the title at Rumble (Vacated). They meet at XIX as a Double Main with Rock-H3.

It just won't work because Brock's so soon into his face push to just get injured. And taking Heyman out of the equation like that. Plus adding to that Angle is in the midst of a face turn.
