Shawn Michaels says...

"This week, Shawn Michaels chatted on the No Holds Barred radio show. Here are the highlights.

He felt like he could really contribute in the chamber match. A main reason he wanted in the match was that it was in Madison Square Garden. He has not been there in 5 years and said the Garden crowd always appreciates hard work.

He put over his match with Razor Ramon at Mania 10 as his favorite. He said the Undertaker was his toughest opponent but he was also the most professional.

He enjoyed his matches with Bret Hart because the two of them could go any style. He regrets the Survivor Series incident with Bret but he and Vince McMahon felt it was best for the company. Vince asked Shawn to do it and Shawn has no regrets as he had to protect his company.

He regrets not being able to give his best effort verses Austin at Wrestlemania due to his ailing back. He said it was Austin's time and he wanted a great match but the back was in terrible pain. His back felt pretty good the first couple of days after Summerslam but actually bothered him a couple of weeks later.

He wants to help the young talent with his time left and then ride off into the sunset.

He put over being a father and wants to be a role model for his son."

Well, I hope he does put younger talent over. Maybe Jericho will get it...hence why he was one of the last three.

Then he can drop the strap to RVD at the next ppv in a match that might actually draw based on the freakshow nature of it.

On a side note...

On WOL a few weeks ago Brian Alvarez mentioned that people might order SS because they want to see RVD and HBK go at it.

Then reading some of the feedback there were people who were really upset that RVD and HBK never got the chance to.

So it seems obvious what should be done.

And it also seems obvious what they will do instead.

That wont happen because Vince wants to see HBK v. HGH one more time, he personally thinks RVD can't draw compared to his homegrown main eventers.

That's not exactly true.

HE uses RVD to advertise and throws him into main events when the business starts dropping.

So he knows RVD is fine, he just doesn't want him to be.

It won't happen because people want it to.

I hope it eventually happens too(RVD getting the main event push), but after the HGH incident last night RVD might become a JTTS just like Jericho.

Well we will see if HBK puts over any young talent because so far, all he has been used for is too build Triple H up even more, even though the crowds/marks/smarks just don't care.

HBK's nose is suddenly growing longer.

You can't really diss HBK yet, for we really don't know what he is going to with the title.

For example, when the nWo first came in, everybody was bitching how they are going to hurt the business by not putting people over. I was one of the few people who said give them a chance, and see what they do. What happened? Well, Hogan did everything that was right for the business, by jobbing to the more people in his 4 months there, then he did for the past 5 years.

So bascially, just give HBK a chance, for some reason I believe he is going to do what is right for the business, and job to whoever he is told to.

The NWO did hurt the business though.

Hogan's title reign drove a large part of the fan base away.

Yah, the problem is, HBK doesn't get to choose who he jobs to. I have a feeling that once his feud with Triple H has the blowoff match, he is gone. If Vince kept him around to put over younger talent, that would be nice, but HBK would be risking serious injury by staying for an extended amount of time. Next month when he jobs the title back to Triple H and they become best buds again(something stupid like this probobaly will happen) I think that is when HBK finally exits for good.

I agree...We can't call Shawn a bad champion since we have yet to see what comes out of it...Don't let it go by that HBK can still cut a scathing promo...Still run circles around 85% of the roster (Pretty much Raw)...and his belief in God will allow him to keep from the drugs, money, greed, lust.

The scary part? The likely injunction of Religion here...Feeling that H3's statement "I AM GOD!" will become a focal point of the ultimate showdown.

Well, as far as I can last night was a good opportunity to put someone new over. Instead, he happily superkicked Jericho.

Somehow I don't see him protesting very loudly over that one at the booking meeting.

I'll believe HBK wants to put over someone new when I see it. All I see now is a continuation of the HHH/HBk feud.

Well when HBK shows that he is serious about helping get young guys over i will cut his title win some slack. But I won't believe that until i see it.

Something I haven't seen brought up as regards a possible HBK-Jericho program...I find it interesting that they are both notably devout religious people. I remember HBK saying in a scary Bible style interview that his new-found strength of faith had enabled others in the lockerroom to be more open about their own faith, a prominent example being Chris Jericho. I know religion isn't everything, but one could assume that Michaels isn't going to be averse to working with and putting over Jericho.

Which Is a good point...However..Call me nuts...Jericho doesn't strike me as a die hard Christian.

It doesn't matter if HBK "would" put over Jericho. Vince has to want this to happen. HBK could go up to Vince and beg to put over Jericho and Vince would probobaly look at him laugh and say, "screw you HBK, you are giving that title Back to Triple H"

Tis true apparently. Very into his faith, married his childhood sweetheart sort of thing if I remember correctly (and no guarantee that I do). But HBK definitely referenced him as one of his fellow devout Christians in the locker-room.

HBK saying he wants to put over younger talent means he's dropping the title to Flair.

JERICHO JOINED AL-QAEDA~!~

...talk about bad jokes...

Jericho has said himself that he's a devout Christian, but that he doesn't subscribe to one PARTICULAR branch of Christianity, and that he's welcoming of other faiths. He's one of those seemingly few "whatever floats your boat" devout Christians.

I think Jericho's always been very religious, though. I remember a few commentaries on his site. he's very been preachy, but he's been very religious for a while, as far as I know.

Who are the other guys Michaels said are now "more open with their own faith"?

I'd Imagine that It's the lower carders...

Bubba Ray...

Bubba: God

God: Yes, Bubba

Bubba: I will continue to pray to you for WOOD, the chance for respect for imbreds, new set of glasses and Triple H to die

God: Yes, Hunter, I'll grant you a bag of Roids

Bubba: God? Huh?

God: Pay no attention...I command you to JOB!

Yeah, well he was super over with the crowd, and he did job to certain people. My point is that we have to give HBK a chance before we shoot him down.
