Any chance of RVD turning heel?

Well first off my initial reaction is to say, "no way" because Raw is lacking any faces that are OVER, however I must say that RARELY do "mutual respect" matches stay that way for very long, lets say RVD and HBK wrestle their hearts out on Raw, and HBK goes over, and they do the extended hugging, mutual raising of the hands shtick and all that, and just when you think they couldn't be better friends, WHAM, Van Daminator with the belt on HBK. The main hole in this though is that when Triple H comes back, no doubt he will have a role in this mini-feud and I doubt Triple H would want to play second fiddle to RVD who would most definately be the #1 heel for awhile after laying out HBK. I always though RVD's arsenal could be better utilized if he was a heel. Just like the Rock, it was much "cooler" to see him do the Elbow to SPITE the crowd/opponent rather then to do it ALONG WITH THEM. Of course this would have been better if executed when RVD was a monster face about 8 months ago.....ah well, whatever I guess. :headbang:

Whatever keeps RVD off the title they'll do. Hunter should have put his ass over 2 months ago...flat out.

They'll probably turn him...cause they belt's going back on HHH and he can use the "But RVD's a heel" excuse in production meetings.

Executive: "So that's why you wanted him turned."

HHH: *wiping sweat from his brow* "I have no idea what you're talking about...-uhhhhhh"

Fuck HHH, Jump Robby to Smackdown where he can be appreciated.

RVD will be exposed on Smackdown. He is better just to weather out the storm on RAW.

Yes, turning him heel is a brilliant idea. That way he would have to carry matches without any wrestling ability whatsoever. Face it, RVD can only wrestle one match. Hit all his moves, and bump like hell. Turning him heel will kill his heat. Especially, since I doubt HHH/Vince will allow him to his moves that would get him face pops. RVD needs to be a face, or you might as well kiss his career goodbye.

"Turning him heel will kill his heat. "

That's always been the point.

Have you guys ever seen ECW circa '97? RVD hit all his spots and still got heat from the crowd. I'm sure he could be a heel.

Yeah but that only lasted a short while, then they cheered for him instead.

During the ECW/WWF "Mr. MondayNight" storyline, RVD drew heat.

Then they realized he wasn't going anywhere nad started cheering for him and Sabu again.

Oh yeah, I can't wait for those hatred-laced RVD heel promo's......

" So like yeah....we're here in New Jersey and uh, well, I don't really like New Jersey. Whatever. You guys stink."

The only time I've ever seen RVD cut a good promo was when he was a cocky heel.

I think the fans will not accept RVD as a heel. They'll cheer for him regardless.

I'd like to see RVD on Smackdown because I really think he could benefit from a program with Benoit or Angle. Maybe learn some things about pacing and selling.

He ain't gonna learn great ring skills on Raw.

If you've ever watched ECW you know that RVD can be a great cocky punk heel. First off, I'd actually have him beat Michaels for the title and then Shawn does the mutual respect thing and hands him the belt and tells RVD he respects him......then RVD channels his 1996 heel turn on Sabu and tells Shawn "I don't respect you, in fact I think you're a piece of shit."

The difficult thing about it is that RVD would be the coolest of the cool heels. His moves would still get cheered, but he could be such a smarmy jerk that he'd get booed.

His ECW character was unique: he had a heel manager, essentially relied on run ins and cheating while TV champ, and he was the most popular guy in the company. I've never seen something like that exactly.
