Smark Calls The Linda McMahon Financial Conference

- A question was asked about the dwindling house show attendance, the repetitive programming, the storylines like the necrophilia angle, and Triple H's influence on the creative end of the company due to his relationship with Stephanie McMahon. Linda said Triple H is a "relatively new" boyfriend for Stephanie McMahon, and does not have influence because of that relationship. She put him over as a major star for them. Linda said they have new storylines, pointing out Scott Steiner being the subject of a bidding war between the shows, and the return of Shawn Michaels.

The person asking the question said it appeared WWE was turning into WCW at the end, in terms of small house show attendance. Linda said house shows have dropped because of the brand extension, but they will rebuild it as they increase the quality of the storylines on the two shows. The person asking then pointed out that relying on Shawn Michaels, who is at the end of his career, can't work in the long run. Linda retorted that the building of new stars is methodical, and will take time.

- When asked if they have had any contact with Steve Austin, Linda McMahon said "Steve is a friend, and we have talked to him several times." When asked if he is returning, she said " Don't know."

:D They've been saying that they were goign to build stars for over 1 1/2 years now and they still haven't made anyone new except Lesnar. I guess their idea of building new stars is keeping them in meaningless midcard feuds and jobbing them to HHH.

Scott Steiner = Stone Cold / The Rock (Bidding war)

Shawn Michaels = Hulk Hogan (Return of major star)

Nothing new there that I can see...

"Relatively new?" Haven't they been going out for nearly three years now?

Thank you. They've been seeing each other since 2000 when he was cheating on Chyna. Linda is full of shit.

when was the last time we got anything meaningful out of anything like this anyway?

That's it boys and girls, keep the pressure on them...

I'll bet, years from now, when the current talent has moved on to new things, we are going to see shoot interview on HHH that are vicious beyond belief.

Interviewer: The word at the time was that HHH was holding you down.

Retired Jericho: Not at all. There was a lot of rumbling in the dirt sheets and on the Internet, but...oh I can't do this anymore. The stupid fucker made Dusty Rhodes look like the Rock in the ring, and with the booking. If he wasn't banging the boss' daughter he would have ended up cleaning up the jobbers' locker room. Those two had me cleaning up dog shit and couldn't have buried me more if they'd had a tractor. I wouldn't stop to piss on HHH if he was on fire.

So in another 3 years from now, we'll start to see them really push Benoit, Angle, Eddie, Chavo, Matt, Jeff, etc. Until then, we'll see HHH fued with HBK, with Hogan returning and fueding with the Undertaker, while Benoit, Jericho, RVD, and Angle are stuck in the mid-card division. Maybe when they say new stars, they actually mean old stars. If that's the case, get ready for them to really push Flair, and bring back Savage to push him.

...and they'll finally cave and give Goldberg the zillions of dollars he wants.

By which time, he will have forgotten the way to the ring.

Jesus fucking Christ, for how much longer are they going to keep blowing smoke up people's asses with that shit? This whole "we are building new stars but it takes time and thus that's why the old guard is still around just like always" crap has been going on for months and months and months that I'm surprised that they think that anyone actually believes them when they say it these days.

I guess their idea of a new star is that up-and-comer, Shawn Michaels. Or Scott Steiner. Please. At least the well of former stars is running dry, thank God, but it really bothers me how their idea of trying something new is "bring back (fill in name here)" because they can't be bothered in working dilligently with the people they have already.

BWAAAHAHAHAAHAHA!!

See how disillusioned I am?

In 3 years Undertaker and HHH will still be beating everyone and not jobbing, although Undertaker finally did cave in and job to Brock after making him look like shit for 2 months.

Seriously who have they tried to elevate to main event since the split? Here is a short list:

1.Kevin Nash-injured first night back

2.Bradshaw-got no reaction so his push was killed

3.Kane-The HHH affect took this one. Fans really didn't respond to him well either.

4.Brock Lesnar-Was being pushed as the next big star before the split.

5. Big Show-went from jobbing to Jeff Hardy to winning the World Title within a month, verdict is still out on this run.

All the guys that people actually wanted to be pushed like Booker, RVD, Edge, Benoit, Jericho, and Angle are still midcarders. They are stuck in midcard just trading jobs back and forth in a circle leading nowhere.

Linda McMahon, simply put, is full of shit, just like 90% of her company.

The verdict is in as far as I'm concerned, and it sucks. If he got in decent (not even good, just decent) shape I would be shcoekd and willing to give him another look, until then no matter how many people they have him squash, or how many managers they give him he's still unover and possibly the worst in-ring talent in the WWF.

The following is from WWE.com:

RAW preview for Nov. 25

This Monday night, RAW comes to you from the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C.!

From 1998 to now, Shawn Michaels has had four WWE matches: there was the Casket Match at Royal Rumble '98, his battle with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV, his epic encounter with Triple H at SummerSlam last August, and the Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series.

Michaels hasn't competed on RAW since late 1997! But that'll change this Monday night when he steps into the ring for his first RAW match in five full years! In a match fans have dreamed about for years, the Heartbreak Kid will put the World Heavyweight Title on the line against the man who became No. 1 contender on this week's RAW, Rob Van Dam! That's right -- the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line, live on RAW!

Triple H was injured at the hands of RVD at Survivor Series. Is Shawn Michaels, whose own health problems have been well documented, up to the challenge? Find out this Monday night at 9/8 CT, when RAW airs live on the new TNN!

If you live in the North Charleston area, don't miss this opportunity to be on live television! See Shawn Michaels in action, in person!

Why not just put the Title on RVD this Monday and make "New" Stars now? Instead of being "methodical" and taking your own Damn Sweet time?

If that happened HHH couldn't win the belt back and get his job back from Shawn Michaels all in the same night.

I agree 100%. They say that they're creating new stars, well, give RVD the World Title on RAW and prove it.

But they WILL put the title on RVD, because I'll be there, and if they have RVD lose to a part-time performer who looks about 175 these days, I'll hop the rail and get beaten down by security while trying to get at Trips, who would probably cost RVD the title in said situation. Even if I get pounded down and arrested, it's the thought that counts.

I'm just ecstatic that I'll be in person for RVD's first World Title win.

You better be ready to spend overnight in jail then, because there is no way RVD is winning the title.

It's interesting how the denial in the WWE obviously goes all the way to the top.

Actually, if they wanted to get the title to RVD without hurting anyone's HHHeat, this is the perfect time.

I guess we can expect The "One & Only Kotzenjunge went to Jail" Thread come Tuesday?
