Guest Rob Edwards Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Can anyone see the slightest bit of good in Bull appearing on SD? The guy is never going to draw and it seems Vince has had a dose of his big guy syndrome again Thoughts?
Guest the pinjockey Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I am sure he will be at least midly entertaining when he starts to rap. So he will be good for a little.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Unless theres a possibility of seeing the Truth Comission again *marks out*
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I couldn't even tell who it was, it had been so long since I'd seen the bastard. I came in on the end of it...sticking to my Rikishi-leave-the-room-boycott I'm suprised JR didn't fight for another hoss on Raw. Although a Bull/Cena rapping duo could at least be funny in a reall bad way, and it if takes away from Rikishi air time I'm all for it.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I swear I thought it was Nathan Jones when I saw him. Nathan and Bull should battle the Harris twins in a winner and loser leave life match.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I never thought Bull was that bad. He was decent for a big guy, but he got paired with Boss Man so he never had a chance. He's being used as the "bodyguard/friend" to a mid carder wrestling Rikishi. Do you honestly believe that they are expecting him to "draw"?

Not draw no but the WWE has other rising stars who actually have a hope of drawing in future that could be filling his role
Guest ryankeast Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Why has he been employed for so long but only sparringly used. He has been in the company since 1997. 97 - The Truth Commision. 98-00 - Disappears 00-01 - Boss Mans Lacky, then the dreadful RTC Gimmick (Where he actually won a Tag Title) 01-02 - Disapears 02 - Reappears on Velocity for about 3-weeks
Guest Zack Malibu Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I thought that in OVW, he was getting good reviews for a Cape Fear gimmick, similar to what Waylon Mercy was doing in 1995. Despite the cartoonish gimmick in that era, a gimmick like Mercy's was ahead of it's time, and could be a great boost for the person using it if done/written right. Bull's always going to be one of those guys where he'll need to rely on the gimmick since workrate sure as hell won't get him over. However, if he's going to be the rapping bodyguard or whatever, I give up all hope in the creative staff.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 97 - The Truth Commision. 98-00 - Disappears Don't forget the ill-fated "Armageddon" tag team of Buchanan and Poirier. This was brief, as it happened after they turned face on The Interrogator (Kurrgan).
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Good God, here I thought Buchannan was new back when he came out as Boss Man Junior. His offense on Thursday seemed good, but if he removed all the leg wiggling during that legdrop it would have helped things. Talk about stupid-looking.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 MY GOD!! THIS HOSS IS A FORMER TAG CHAMP!! GIVE HIM A CHANCE!! MY GOD!!
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I don't understand why everyone believes Ross is pushing all these big men. Sure, he gives them blowjobs on TV, but he does that to every face, too. Everybody knows the WWF has pushed Big Men even in the days when Ross was WCW. I think it's Vince that won't quit it with the hosses.
Guest Goodear Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 What's everyone's problem with bringing in a guy who has been in development for years now? The guy has made slow but steady progress since The Truth Commission days and I'm willing to at least give the guy a chance now that he's dropped some excess girth and gotten himself into what appears to be in pretty decent shape.
Guest CanadianChick Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 He's one of the better big guys and Vince is going to have bigger guys on his shows, so it might as well be him. I really don't mind him too much. Hey, maybe Rikishi will go away now! Never mind, it'll never happen...
Guest buffybeast Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Here here! I agree with the last two comments. Why not give a brother a chance? Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'm not sure about this rapping gimmick. Bull looked so damn ridiculous out there with the pants and the skull cap. I suspect he and Cena will be funny characters.

I suspect he and Cena will be funny characters. And I look forward to seeing how ridiculous the WWE homegrown hoss and stud are portrayed in this dead-end gimmick. Rapping sure helped Ron Killings, didn't it.....
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I see no problem with Bull. Once he finds a good gimmick, he can get over pretty well. Looks like he in better shape than before too.
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I always thought Bull Buchanan was pretty talented for a big man, he's just been stuck with shitty gimmicks during his WWE tenure. I honestly hope he won't be rapping along side Cena, because that will get over as nicely as The Road Dogg and K-Kwik GETTIN ROWDY
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 They should team as the Gangsters, and always pronounce the "-ster". Have them be wiggers, who are bad at being wiggers. Then have Shelton Benjaman feud with them.
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Cena can do that act fine by himself though. I really don't get Bull joining him as he will only look stupid.

The same reason they put Nash on Michaels. Give him some cred. Maybe they're building to a John and Silent Bull gimmick.
Guest Goodear Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 It's basically II Cool II without the over dancing and face turn. I could dig that, especially if they go the route Mr. Z suggested. They should watch the N*Sync episode of the Simpsons for reference. WORD!
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 hip-hop version of 3-count. Get Cena, Bull and Shannon.
Guest Ram Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I saw Bull at a houseshow (the last Smackdown houseshow without Big Show). He teamed with Shelton against Bill DeMott and Doug Basham. In order of most entertaining of the match was Shelton, then Basham, DeMott, and finally Bull. I'm not saying that out of spite either. Bull needs more work, but at least he's only coming in for a comedy gimmick. By the way, Basham shouldn't be wasted. He so reminded me of DDP with his selling.
Guest Goodear Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 hip-hop version of 3-count. Get Cena, Bull and Shannon. And playing the part of Tank Abbot..... HAKU!
Guest buffybeast Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Have them be wiggers, who are bad at being wiggers.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Yeah, have Haku be one of the hype men. They gotta braid his hair up though. lol
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Well a few months back I had this idea, but it seemed that never happened. I'm glad to see Buchanen back - one of my guilty pleasures. I can't see him being a rapper like Cena, but perhaps Cena's bodyguard? Cena can act like hes bigtime and Buchanen is his bodyguard. Sorta like Jericho and Ralphus back in the day, only Buchanen COULD be badass.
