So THAT'S why Kurt Angle won the 4-way match

Kurt Angle has been pushing Jim Ross and other WWE officials to hire more smaller, agile workers that he and the other Smackdown wrestlers can work great matches with.

This comes off of news that Ross pushed for the signing of Nathan Jones, who is a larger menacing type wrestler rather than a smaller technical guy.

Can't you just hear the discussion? "Oh, Kurt's trying to tell us who to hire? Alright, looks like someone's getting squashed by Big Show at Armageddon." Just a thought.

And on another note, looks like JR's still got a thing for those damned Hosses. Nathan Jones? And somewhere, without a WWE deal, are Juventud Guerrera, Elix Skipper, and a host of others with actual skills.

Sounds like bullshit to me.

yup...

Even if it isn't BS I still don't think that they would punish him for that.

I'm still bullshitting myself into believing Angle goes over Big Show and holds the belt until WM when we get Angle vs Lesnar

I wouldn't be surprised if he was pushing for better workers to be hired, but why speculate that he's being punished for it. Doesn't maker any sense.

The article doesn't say that Angle's being punished, just that he's making the push. But if they listen to him, who's left to sign not already in WWE or NWA-TNA?

I think Angle is starting to figurew out that he's going to peak in that style pretty soon and he wants to get the type of seasoning of Mysterio, Benoit, and Guerrero without leaving the security of the WWE. He's mainly looking for different guys to work with who can offer him something.

The WWE needs to put on a freeze on any new hires. They need to get rid of dead weight but they need to wait 4 to 6 months before they add anymore talent.

:hm: Can't wait until Kael Sanderson, American Dragon, Paul London, get signed and are squashed by Batista in the Goldberg-ish streak that nobody cares about.

What kind of a screwed-up company would PUNISH somebody by putting him over three top-shelf workers in a free TV main event and then place him in a championship match headlining a PPV?

Yeah, that sounds like a REALLY severe 'punishment' to me.

Nah Big Show will probably get a 2 month long Title reign as he did last time. If Angle is as injured as Rey is, he will be the sacrifical lamb.

The WWE needs to do three things before anyone new is hired:

1. Cut about 30-35 workers from the active roster move them down to OVW till their contracts are up or fire them. (Get rid of the women, the fat bastards, etc.)

2. Make significant staff cuts.

3. Call up a ton of OVW guys, and create MARKETABLE characters for them. (This was what brought the WWF back from the brink in 976 and 97: New Talent.)

4. Then other wrestlers who can add star power to the mainly rookie shows.

No no no... New talent did not bring the WWF back from the brink in 96-97. First of all, they were there until 1998. Second of all, it was mainly Austin who brought it back, and everyone else just followed suit. Lastly, the Bret Hart screwjob created a viable heel in McMahon, so all they did was put Austin aginst McMahon and watch as the dollars came flowin' in. The WWE needs something BIG to happen to turn around, or else there's the potential of going totally down the crapper.

Austin was one of the "new" talent who debuted in 96-97. I know he was in WCW before that but with a radically different character, look, and besides most marks didn't know that. The generation of talent that made their WWF debuts in 96-97 brought them back in 98.

First off, that's old news. Trying to logically add it's subject to a matter that just happened a few days ago when the article is about a month old is ignorant.

Secondly, Juventud can suck a dick. He fucking sucks. Any random Mexican can run around and botch top rope spots. So what makes him so special? He can't even speak English very well.

Tino, they're gonna job him to the Big Show, on the Bossman PPV.

"Bossman PPV"

LOL! So true. I always considered the December PPV to be #12 on the yearly PPV pecking order.

I'd say having to job to Big Show, in addition to getting "injured" (aka manhandled) is punishment. Remember, Raven and Matt Hardy were both punished/buried in the past year for speaking up against the company and/or suggesting improvements.

Juvi's a liability.

He gave the WWE a big "fuck you" by not working the "WWE style" on his tryout match, and in fact going the other way completely. Plus we don't need to see him running around naked on a live Raw--not that anyone will be watching at this rate, but still.
