Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 As we reported earlier this week, the push given to Albert on Smackdown last week, to take out Rey Mysterio and feud with Edge, was originally intended for Matt Hardy. Paul Heyman had written the angle so that whoever took out Rey would provide a built in opponent for Rey upon his return from the knee surgery. However, Vince McMahon instead used the situation to build up Albert, who he envisions as the next opponent for the Undertaker when Taker returns to action in early 2003.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Don't like it. I was kinda hoping to click the link and read "Vince plans to strap Albert to a bomb."
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 + Undertaker and Albert would tie each other up, and won't majorly be involved with the rest of SmackDown... at least for a short while. - It would probably get loads of air time. Why doesn't Vince get it? Like crash/shock tv, hossamania is dead. Not many out there like or want to see lumbering 7 ft. guys swiping at each other anymore.
Guest NoCalMike Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 ho hum.....typical Vince. Nothing suprises me about that idiot anymore, except that he is still in business.
Guest Si82 Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 ho hum.....typical Vince. Nothing suprises me about that idiot anymore, except that he is still in business. I totally agree. First Big Show, now Albert and next Bill DeMott. When will the madness end?
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Hmmmmmmm.....wonder which reliable and not at all biased towards stirring up anti-WWE sentiment source you got this from.
Guest job squad Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 ho hum.....typical Vince. Nothing suprises me about that idiot anymore, except that he is still in business. I totally agree. Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Lesnar vs Batista vs HHH in a muscle pose-down. First man to pull off a wrestling move loses.
Guest cabbageboy Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Hell who cares? Albert is only getting this mild push so UT can job him out. I just hope Edge doesn't get jobbed out to Albert.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Hmmmmmmm.....wonder which reliable and not at all biased towards stirring up anti-WWE sentiment source you got this from. You have a point. However, I think when it comes to matters of Albert, we should all share a collective "NO!"
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 It may shock you guys, but rednecks and idiots love hosses. A friend of mine testifies that Rick Fuller was over like hell just for bodyslamming guys at a live show. Then, the same idiots will sit on their hands for a technical bout. Sure, not in Canada really (save for Hogan), but they exist. However, this should mean the WWE would be doing really well in those areas. Odd.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 1) Has this been posted already? I could have sworn... 2) Please site the source. Hate to sound like my English teacher, but you need to do that, every time, or you risk the credibility of the story and yourself.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 haha, could it be some of our internet wrestling sources LACK INTEGRITY?? i wouldn't be surprised if they did it, tho.
Guest CanadianChris Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 haha, could it be some of our internet wrestling sources LACK INTEGRITY?? i wouldn't be surprised if they did it, tho. Yeah, but they more than make up for it in intensity, if not intelligence.
Guest buffybeast Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Albert is only getting this mild push so UT can job him out. This was my sentiment. Sadly, Albert is only being used to make UT look stronger. The company doesn't appear to have any interest in making Albert a legit threat.
Guest nikowwf Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Albert should not be pushed. There has never been even the slightest inkling from the people that this is someone they want in a higher spot. Pushing one wrestler invovles using another. I cannot think of anyone I think should be jobbed to Albert to increase his position. I think Albert could have gotten the Lesnar push this year, and because of who he is and who people perceive him as cause of his past he would not be any more than a midcarder at best. niko

To earn your paycheck..."
Guest Repo Man jr Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 No offecnce to any Alberts on this forum, but Albert is a damn stupid name. Matt Bloom is like 93 million times better. And no offence to any people on this forum with fur on their backs, but fur on your back just looks damn stupid. It's not 1980 anymore. I want to watch cool people who are athletic, not George The Animal Steel jr.
