I cooked up an idea for Smackdown's title after Armageddon. I was just wondering what you guys thought of it:

 

First off, save the Angle injury angle for the Smackdown after the PPV. You'll see what I'm thinking later.

 

Now, the Smackdown after the PPV, start right off with a gauntlet match for the #1 contendership to Big Show's title that lasts the whole two hours of Smackdown (I know, as a rule, gauntlet matches usually suck. But, I'm trying to make it make sense).

 

Start with Chavo Guerrero vs. Shannon Moore (keep reading). I'm only going with Shannon Moore because he's the only face cruiserweight that's on the Smackdown roster who's been on TV. If this was for after the Rumble, I'd say debut Spanky here, after weeks of Rey Mysterio-like vignettes w/ footage from the dark matches he's been doing. Have Moore go over, and give them 8-10 minutes.

 

Then, do Moore vs. Kidman non-title. Have Kidman show little signs of heel-ness during the match. Have Moore win with some sort of surprise roll-up, and then Kidman "snaps" and destroys Moore with a chair, setting up a new feud for the Cruiserweight Title, and freshening up Kidman's character.

 

Then, Eddie Guerrero comes out and, like a hound smelling blood, runs in the ring, hits a brainbuster, and pins Moore really fast.

 

Follow up with Eddie vs. Edge. Give them 15-20 minutes, and have Eddie work over Edge's shoulder the whole match, bringing up their history together. Edge squeaks out the win, but Michael Cole & Tazz won't shut up about how Edge won't be able to go on with his hurt shoulder.

 

Then do Benoit vs. Edge. Benoit works over the shoulder for the whole match, and finishes Edge off with the Crossface.

 

Follow that up with Benoit vs. Tajiri, just to freshen things up. Benoit makes Tajiri look like a million bucks, but picks up the win.

 

Finish off with Benoit vs. Angle. Have Cole & Tazz acknoledge Angle's knee injury before and during the match, and Benoit works over the knee the whole match. Benoit wins with some sort of leg submission. After the match, Benoit & Angle shake hands, and say they respect each other to tie the end to that feud, and to give Angle the time off. Then, Big Show comes out on the ramp to do the whole "ring-to-ramp" staredown for the Benoit-Show match, when Brock Lesnar comes out of nowhere, and F5's Big Show.

 

During the week, play up how Brock's been reinstated for one match, and if he can't win it, he's suspended for another year. Then, as much as I hate doing title switches on TV, they would almost have to do Brock winning the belt back from Benoit. After the match, Benoit comes in, and raises Brock's hand.

 

The week after that, do Brock & Benoit vs. Los Guerreros. Eddie & Chavo win after Brock accidently messes Benoit up. They do the Main Event Staredown that they obscenely overplay during the video packages, after the match.

 

The week after that, have both Brock & Benoit in singles matches, in which they both win. During Brock's match, which would presumebly be the main event, Benoit comes out to watch. After the match, Benoit tries to shake Brock's hand, but Brock pulls him in for an F5.

 

Before the PPV, hype up that Angle's returning for the Rumble (if he can). Put Brock-Benoit on right before the Rumble. Brock beats Benoit, and tries to attack him after the match. Angle comes out to save his former partner, who he showed respect for after the gauntlet match. Angle wins the Rumble, and, boom, Wrestlemania build-up has already begun (even though I know they're not for sure on Brock vs. Angle for Mania like they were a while back).
