So have Rey try to figure out who, and have it turn out to be Matt Hardy, who will be the current CW champ. Say he had it done because Rey was serious competition for the titile. Hardy becomes a heel, Rey becomes a bigger face, and we get a decent feud.

Matt doesn't seem like the weaselly, conniving coward to have to hire some one to do it. It just doesn't seem to fit the character. Matt would have done it himself, out in front of everyone, and bragged about it. Now, if "A-Train" said that as an aspiring "Mattitude Follower" he "diddit fer Matt," maybe we'd have something there, but at that stage it would be hard to connect Rey and Matt for a one-on-one program.

Matt just doesn't seem the type of heel that would go out of his way to injure someone. He's more of a sneak in the weakest possible way to win and then brag about it for months type. I just cannot picture Matt going crazy enough to brutalize someone.

I just cannot picture Matt going crazy enough to brutalize someone. Which is why I like the Steineresque route vs. Sid. Make it appear accidental, and then Matt would take credit for it like he actually caused the injury. Fits perfectly. Maybe then he can run around collection "souvenirs" like "Rey Mysterio's knee!" Oh, damn--that's been done. Although I'd love to see a feud where Jericho does the same thing, but for HHH-uh's quad.

But really, to make this stick with Matt's character, let's just say that Albert was won over by Mattitude, and was mad at the fact that Rey was beating up on him. We have Matt as a somewhat of a cult leader character, and Albert as his bodyguard/protector.
