Guest NoCalMike Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Well, if Stevie and Victoria remain in the quasi-feud with Test/Stacy(moreso just Test/Stevie) then I could see Raven getting involved and bringing back the flock or the Raven/Stevie/nest duo thing. However, maybe Test is done with Stevie and the Raven thing is just something completely new, ooooooor, Raven was just put there for no reason at all just to have him do SOMETHING.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Maybe Test and Stacy are the targets of the next part of his masterpiece (Lust?), with Steven and Victoria running interference in a way, in keeping them averted from the true puppeteer (Raven). Maybe Raven was there to watch Stacy, eventually revealing that Raven himself is guilty of Envy and revealing his true hypocritical nature... killing the Seven Sins angle for the most part. But that'd probably go over most fans' heads, and I doubt the writers are even thinking of something like that. But even with all the possibilities, it is more likely that they just pushed Raven out there so he could have something to do. Feh.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I think it will end up with Raven controlling Stacy with BOD spray, because lord knows they aren't pushing that product more than 95% of the roster right now.
Guest creativename Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 The great news is that this probably means Raven's not gonna get cut. Though he'll still probably end up getting squashed by Test. Oh well, you can't have everything...in fact, in WWE, you usually can't have anything...and at least this is a little something.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 No, No, No! Raven was told to sweep the parking lot. He heard a noise, put down the broom and walked out from behind the truck and saw there was a camera on him. So, instead of looking like a Complete idiot, he just gave the "Classic" Raven stare and made himself look like part of the show.
Guest ArchoanJB Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I think that last explaniation makes the most sense. I wonder how long this Raven storyline will last?
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 a bit off topic, but is test a face now or something? He should break stacy's fingers, that's the first step.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Raven was on RAW... and I missed it?! Oh, wait, I always miss RAW. ::shakes fist at RAW for being such a shoddy product I missed it and Raven::
Guest jester Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Raven was probably there for the sole purpose of playing to the smarks who read the rumor of his dismissal. Next Ross report: "See, see, Raven was on Raw! He's not being fired as 'sources say.' Obviously you Internet smarks know absolutely nothing! Why, you wouldn't know wrestling if you tripped over it! You have absolutely no clue and everything you think and say is obviously WRONG!" And then they will quietly bury him again.
Guest C-Bacon Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Raven and Stevie = New tag team champs. Soon to start feuding with Tommy Dreamer and random partners, which will eventually lead to an alliance with Rhyno when he returns
Guest razazteca Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 How betta to tag with Tommy Dreamer than Kanyon and Hurricane. The Innovators of Tag Team Offense.
Guest dreamer420 Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I don't need Raven to be appearing on Raw. He hasn't done anything worth watching since 97 and there are better talents that should be showcased instead of him (TOMMY DREAMER)
Guest BoboBrazil Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Didn't they do this exact same Raven storyline like 6 months ago? It just happened for a couple of weeks where he was in the parking lot then it was forgotten. I predict the same thing happens again.
Guest MissMattitude Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I hope something does come of this. Raven is one of the best characters out there at the moment.
Guest dreamer420 Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I hope something does come of this. Raven is one of the best characters out there at the moment. Not so much of a good worker though.
Guest razazteca Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I hope something does come of this. Raven is one of the best characters out there at the moment. Not so much of a good worker though. that is not a major factor to be a featured wrestler on Raw
Guest notJames Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 ...And then they will quietly bury him again. Considering what a non-politician he is on the most political of the two shows, replace "quietly" with "quickly" and "again" with "for good".
Guest geniusMoment Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Raven and D'lo both appear on Raw and are apparantly in store for pushes. Damn trips must have taken the day off or something. Speaking of former ECW hardcore icons I have to say I wish I was Dreamer right about now, he is on his honeymoon with the real queen of extreme, Beulah. She was the best looking girl in wrestling, in my opinion, not fake looking like the divas now.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I don't have a problem with raven's workrate, he is far from stellar but i don't find his matches unwatchable by any means. And he is fucking IDEAL as a manager/wrestler. His promos are great, he has a decent storyline going (probably his idea) so put him with rhyno, richards/victoria. Hell, even kane would really benefit from a heel turn due him being mindfucked.
Guest art_vandelay Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Well, if Stevie and Victoria remain in the quasi-feud with Test/Stacy(moreso just Test/Stevie) then I could see Raven getting involved and bringing back the flock or the Raven/Stevie/nest duo thing. However, maybe Test is done with Stevie and the Raven thing is just something completely new, ooooooor, Raven was just put there for no reason at all just to have him do SOMETHING. Why is it that whenever Raven has the slightest inklings of a push coming up for him–whether it be the HeAT-masterpiece that has seem to gone the way of the white Hummer, or something as minute as his 2 second cameo on Monday–it always immediately leads to suspicions of a Flock or Nest reformation. I mean, I know those were great times for this character, and I know a lot of smarks dream about a reincarnation appearing in the WWE, but is that all Raven will be known for for the rest of his career? IMO, what I think Raven will do is speak up against all this Testicle bullshit. How he has had to endure sitting in the locker room and listening to those shitty jokes, and how he's now going to do something about it. Then of course, he'll offend the marks by saying how stupid they are for thinking the jokes are funny, and how they'll cheer for anything with tits. All the while pleasing us, and prompting more threads about Flock reformations on the board.

I mean, I know those were great times for this character, and I know a lot of smarks dream about a reincarnation appearing in the WWE, but is that all Raven will be known for for the rest of his career well its either the ECW greatness or Johnny Polo/Flamingo, I would like to recount the good ol days when Raven would tell Coach to stop being an absolute fool during his time as the only good HEAT announcer.
Guest NoCalMike Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 the first step IMO is to take the ridiculous braids out of Raven's hair and just have the locks flow like they did in ECW. He looks a lot more "dark" and "mysterious" like that.....Leatherjacket with the flannel around the waist. Have him do promos in some dark, damp corner in the back.

But the point is, why can't people hope for something new instead of hoping for rehashed angles from the past, even though they know that the rehash will never be done as well as the original, especially under the creative control of Vince McMahon?
Guest razazteca Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I think they tried that with the Heat announer job but Raven was overshadowing the "star" Coach so Raven had to go to the ring. I like the current character of Raven, its a step in the right direction as he is a great heel, even though this character has been done before at least he will get some time on tv. I cannot wait until Kanyon makes his return to Raw so the Masterpiece can be complete The word Orginal does not exist in the WWE dictionary. At least Raven is not pushing a shopping cart to the ring anymore or hitting people with STOP signs. Raven as a leader of a group of misfits is the only storyline that can work for him at this point either as a manager or a wrestler Raven will take this tired old angle to the next level. Hell maybe this time Kane can get over as somebody other than Undertaker's burnt crispy red retard brother.

Well, you sound very optimistic about what Raven can do if a flock reformation should ever take place, but at the same time, really pessimistic about what he has to offer to the company besides that. How are you so certain that this is the only option? And really, how great is a wrestler if the only way he can get over is by giving him his own stable?
Guest razazteca Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 well its either that or job to the champion, which very possible The way I see it Raven + plus whatever the Master Piece is would be a great addition to the tag team division. Somebody brought up who could be the Cactus Jack of the Flock today I think it could be Goldust, he is confused, and is one of the best with interview skills. Other than throwing Raven into the weak main event what can they possibly do with Scotty? Reduex the Spoiled Messa Rich Boy angle from WCW and have him go Nose-2-Nose with HHH? If the rumors of Raven speaking his mind against the OFFICE are true, then I doubt they will reward him with a main event push or any push with a fruitful outcome.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Congratulations deluded Raven marks.......hook, line and sinker you've all taken the bait.
Guest razazteca Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 2 seconds of Raven on Raw is still a good thing, even though they made him the valet parking lot attendent for the Limos, Hummers, and car rentals.
Guest Goodear Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 LOTC, Do you ever get the feeling that if Austin came back and was wearing jean shorts some people would say that he's about to join The Flock because everyone knows Raven invented them? I await the Flocknest Monster.
Guest converge241 Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 kind of off topic but related to Flock/Nest discussion The Flock was a huge waste in WCW people were begging for a Flock- nWO showdown ..even if it just happened in the WW3 Battle Royal all the "cool kids/people/fans" identified with the NWO, but WCW could have got all the "losers/misfits/whatever" kids with the Flock .. all the teens into Marilyn Manson at the time and such "Congratulations deluded Raven marks.......hook, line and sinker you've all taken the bait. " lol
