from wwe.com-

Dustin “Goldust” Runnels is taking full advantage of the time off the Superstars are receiving to celebrate the holidays.

Runnels will marry his girlfriend of a year and a half, Milena, on Wednesday at a small ceremony on the beach in Destin, Fla. He’ll wrestle at the RAW taping Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla., and then honeymoon with his new bride in Honolulu.

The RAW Superstars will be performing back-to-back shows in Honolulu in Jan. 2 and 3, but Runnels, like a handful of other Superstars, will leave early (Dec. 26 in his case) and hang out in the city.

It’s the second marriage for Runnels and the first for his bride-to-be. Like many grooms, Runnels said he was much more excited about the marriage than about the ceremony itself.

“I know this is a big deal for her,” Runnels said of the wedding. “And it is for me too, but I’m just ready for it to be over.”

Runnels said his 8-year-old daughter, Dakota, will be the ring bearer. Only about a dozen people will attend the wedding. They include Runnels’ father, the legendary “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, as well as his mother and two of his sisters.

Runnels met Milena, with whom he’s been engaged for six months, in Florida. She’s a native of Pittsburgh and a full-blooded Italian. She’s works out of her home for the company she owns, Elite Graphic Design.

Lets hope he doesn't screw up and call her Marlena...

As a full fledged Dustin Rhodes mark I'm really happy that he has improved his ring work and is now over in WWE.

I read in RAW that him and Terri still get along fine and they live very close to each other to make everything easier for Dakota.

I'm just glad that everything is working out for Dustin

Dustin's been very underappreciated/unrecognized as of late

not from this community, but in general.. hes got this in his personal life and now the tag belts so maybe the rewarding push is in effect for the veteran

Yea- I'm glad they finally got the belts and had a great payoff to the weak link angle

I for one thought Dustin was a bad signing. He's proven me wrong, and his one of Raw's best performers.

Just imagine if Dusty Rhodes was doing the wedding ceremony.

Hmmm...

...somehow I can't seem to get images of a wedding with Dusty giving all the guests bionic elbows and Dustin picking them up then kicking them in the nuts.

Now it makes Sense.

Goldy is getting some ass, that's why he's been so Motivated.

Although I guess this means his mother and father are together...I'd always wondered what woman would have sex with Dusty Rhodes, though. :P

I'm happy for Dustin. His career is booming and he's got a new wife.

This mean he's going to take some time off now? If so too bad, they're finally on a roll.

I don't think so. He is getting married over the Christmas break I think and is leaving for Hawaii (where the WWE's Raw crew is starting out next year) early so they can have a honeymoon.

Oh imagine the post wedding reception Dusty getting funky like a monkey on the dance floor to "Play that Funky Music White Boy" oh man I'm marking out just thinking about it.

They give the superstars a long break over the holidays which is a nice really gesture on Vince's part so I think he will take advantage of it.

It just makes me really happy to see Dustin get remarried, get rewarded for hardwork and he also made up with his dad.

Yay Dustin!

The guy's also still pretty young, and has plenty of time in him, so I'm sure we'll be seeing him for quite some time to come. I must ask this though, since this is about Dustin...

...do any of you EVER feel he'll "get over" or will be pushed as Dustin Rhodes, seriously? The closest I can remember him have a lot of succes as that was when he had a match with Vader in WCW for the #1 contender to the World Title. Of course he lost, oh well. He did have a good run with the US title, but never got much more than that. His match against Austin was solid also (2/3 falls), I'll never forget it.

Dustin, along with Eddie Guerrero, were definately the feel good stories of the year. Dustin was brought in for Royal Rumble if you recall and everyone was calling it a horrible move. Glad to see he turned it all around. If you weeel

I don't think so Downhome. He's just so over as Goldust, a character that Vince loves and he's kind of bland as plain old Dustin.

It'd be cool if BookDust got a nice tag title reign. I'd rather Book be in the tag division then jobbing in the main events

I remember a lot of people they were gonna do a fake Diesel type thing with Goldust.

But he got in terrific shape, improved his ring work and aside from the incident on the flight from hell which he apologised for and has been a dead issue- he's been a good guy

When I clicked on this i was half expecting to read that Goldust and Booker T were going to get married as part of their story.

Not I, it was one of my favorite moves of 2002, as I LOVE the character of Goldust, the original and now. I will say that I was NOT a fan of the "freak" Goldust, the one that wore the cone breasts and neon colours. I'll never understand that bull shit.

[Random Goldust Memory]I'll never forget when Austin came out to the ring and through Goldust into the porta-potty, I was so pissed off. Of course, it made me think of the days when they would fight, one on one, and how they used to be on the same leval of the ladder. Damn, it shocks me even now how much bigger Austin got than his one time rival Dustin Rhodes.[/Random Goldust Memory]

I agree on both counts, Dustin just seems to have so much trouble when he's "himself". The man needs a charater of some sort, and he REALLY gets into it. As for Booker T, I agree as I said before. He should stay with this tag team thing untill a Main Event spot opens up, or at least untill HHH/HBK eases away a bit.

I was at MSG when they announced his return and the whole crowd was like: WTF?????

I was like: This is gonna be so cool.

It's funny how Mr. Perfect was the most anticipated of the returns and completely bombed

It wasn't becase of HIM it bombed remember, it's because they obviously had no intent in doing ANYTHING with him (other than have Austin destroy him for NO reason not even in a match), and only signed him to take him from the company which he was headlining.

I think him showing up drunk off his ass at No Way Out, being a bad influence, sucking ass in the rign and nearly killing the RAW roster also helped

Regardless of what happend behind the scenes, I feel that almost all of us can agree that they had no true intention of using him an any manner which would prove worth their true time.

These are simply excuses to do what they did to him, that is all. There have been far more people who have done far worse, who was never simply given up on.

While Perfect looked good in the Rumble the rest of his WWE run sucked. He doesn't have the bumping and selling skills that he once had and it really showed when he was in the ring.

As a matter of fact, out of the four returns, Goldust is the only one still around on TV in his original form (Godfather isn't really even on TV any more, Perfect's in TNA, and Val Venis is now Sean Morely)

I originally thought that it'd be a one-time deal, and they'd get a jobber to play Goldust at RR

Godfather got released.

Downhome- While they prob weren't gonna do much with him- I think the incident on the plane was pretty bad and he deserved to be fired

First, Congrats to Dustin for marriage. I like his statement "I want to get it over with". Im with ya bratha.

Who really believed that Goldust of the four Rumble returnees would pan out on top and actually be one of the few highpoints of RAW? We creamed our pants about Perfect, whom gave a last chance desperation miracle at the rumble, fizzled with his reverting to Drinking and the near murder of The roster and then he was agreebly canned. Henning was being somewhat used in Jan/Feb but when he arrived drunk, WWE smartly jobbed him senseless. Perfect wasn't at his 1989 level and had lost his luster as a athelete and was pretty much a one linear.

Goldust returned to the kingdom this year in GREAT shape, anxious to revive his career and life for that matter. Starting with the short lived RVD fued, he and Booker aligned and it's been Gold ever sense. However, I can't envison what they can do with Goldust if they seperate him and Booker, which is inevitable.

Kudos to Dustin for improving in the ring and getting married. I admit that I was one of the people who didn't care for a Goldust return, but damn! he proved me wrong.

We may have been wrong about Goldust and Perfect, but were pretty much right to be unenthused about Val and Godfather.

Val's now in a figurehead role not wrestling and Godfather sucked, wasn't nearly as over as before, and is pretty much ready to be let go.

Too bad about Val, he's got good potential if he can keep from getting injured all the time. Hopefully this will give him plenty of time to heal up better than ever.
