Guest pappajacks Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I am looking for audio wrestling promos for free (i.e. Paul Heyman before SS, Stone Cold vs Jim Ross after WM 17, Ric Flair at RR 92, etc.). I tried WinMX, but the only promos it has are those of The Rock. Does anyone know where I can download wrestling promos? Thanks.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 You ever try newsgroups? Alt.binaries.pro-wrestling. That's a good group. I just DL'ed Hulk Still Rules DVD, Armageddon, and this past RAW. Some of the posters have a lot of old school tapes, that they post.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 How do you connect to the newsgroup. Complete novice here. If anybody knows a step-by-step guide to connect to that newsgroup I'd be grateful.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Yeah I couldn't find the newsgroup you were mentioning.
Guest Eagan469 Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 try here: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&...t.pro-wrestling
Guest razazteca Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 1) download AGENT program by Forte 2) goto your ISP homepage and look for newsgroups IP address should be either all numbers or news.xxx.com where as xxx is my local profider it might be different for you, not sure how AOL or MSN does it. 3) log in to AGENT 4) goto accounts ->add -> enter newsgroup address 5) it will take about 5-10 minutes to load up all groups 6) search for wrestling 7) then search for desired file, make sure you have all the segments, click on the lightning bolt symbol to download You might need to WinRAR or WinAce unzip the file not sure if I am correct here as I have not use the newgroups in a long time for binary files but this is a general way to get what you need. As always check the help me file or read me of the program 1st.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Try searching for something called Xnews. That's what I use. It's kind of hard to understand at first, but you'll get the hang of it. I also, get a lot of movies from Xnews, and of course porn. But it's all free.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 ABPW is alright, but you need a DVD player that happily plays bootleg CDs to watch things like old WCW PPVs or whanot. It's kind of dead for the holidays right now though. Recently a whole bunch of UFC got posted but that's about it. And I've never seen promos on there. If you want promos, the best I can do is tell you to look at CRZ's site for text transcripts of promos.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Those clips are MPEG's, and they play with Window's Media Player. If you DL them, you might want to save them to a CD-R.
