Guest YouDaFoo Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I have wanted to see this match since 1998! Of course I will be wanting to see this! Please tell me I'm not the only one marking for Steiner in HHH-Steiner's sagments?
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I don't understand what the hell Steiner is saying. The match will suck.
Guest SP-1 Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I don't understand what the hell Steiner is saying. Now, really . . . does Steiner even understand what he's saying? Of course not.
Guest Downhome Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I'm looking forward to it, I'm hoping that Steiner really works stiff, I really am.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 This is all you need to know about Steiner interviews: he talks about his big arms, he says he's the best, and then he says a bunch of catchphrases. No need to listen to anymore Steiner interviews because I just spoiled all of them... Anyways, no I'm not looking forward to this match. At all.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I say it can go 2 ways. It could be a total bore, or it could be really fun if it turns into a trainwreck and they both start injuring each other keeping each other out for several months...

He drops F-bombs and S-bombs sometimes, or he'll say a vulgar sounding insult that makes no sense. You left those out.

A Scott Steiner interview is him saying how he has the largest arms, him claiming he's the best wrestler ever, dropping f-bombs, s-bombs and other vulgar words, and him saying his catchphrases. Man, what variety!
Guest Brian Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 But for some reason, they're all incredibly funny.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 But for some reason, they're all incredibly funny. Yeah, listening to someone incoherently speaking and swearing a lot is a funny. Unintentionally of course.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 The worst is when you watch with a non fan, and they assume that you know what he just said.
Guest Dangerous A Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Less is more. That is the term Steiner and HHH need to learn very quickly. They are going to get a decent buildup courtesy of having HHH in it. But these two need to stick to the basics of story telling in their match because if they try to go Benoit or Anglelike in their match, they are going to be trying to hard and the match will suck worse than any of you can imagine. I am looking more to the buildup than the match.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 You ALSO left out the part where he repeadedly claims to have sex with a lot of women at a contant rate.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 You ALSO left out the part where he repeadedly claims to have sex with a lot of women at a contant rate. Well, doesn't his catchphrases cover that base?
Guest TheArchiteck Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Man i'm anxious about this match. Haven't seen Stiener since the last Nitro!
Guest Ethan Brand Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 You know, there's always the chance that Steiner's roid rage kicks in an (in?)opportune time. Could be fun to watch.
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 You ALSO left out the part where he repeadedly claims to have sex with a lot of women at a contant rate. No, we didn't leave those out because those are among his catchphrases. "all the freaks know there is nothing finer..than Scott Steiner." And the boomshakalaka crap, and of course. "That's why they call ME...the BIG BAD..BOODY DADDAY!"
Guest Luke Cage Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Every time I think about Scott Steiner, I can't help but remember the athletic performer he once was. It's too bad that so many current fans have been trained to believe that swollen, immobile posers are wrestlers. The again, since so many fans think that "wrestling" involves punches, kicks and bashing people with assorted weapons, they should be able to pull it off. I just hope that the other component of modern wrestling (falling off or thru things) is left out of their encounters, since it could be result in serious injury to unnaturally bloated bodies. Let's not even discuss what he does when he gets a live mic in his hands. Mr Steiner is a prime example of why some wrestlers need managers to speak for them.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 is "Whisper something nice and I'll make you scream twice" technically a catchphrase of his? I know they used it in one of his teasers but I don't remember him using it that often.
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 is "Whisper something nice and I'll make you scream twice" technically a catchphrase of his? I know they used it in one of his teasers but I don't remember him using it that often. I think he said it in WCW--that could be where they snagged it from. So I think so.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I never understood using sexual catchphrases because what % of wrestling fans are attractive females. The only time I think it works is with someone like Rick Rude who slammed other guys in the crowd by talking down about them while doing it so it gets heat, but do most people want to hear about Steiner making girls scream.
Guest Choken One Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I never have problems understanding Steiner, and I am fucking Deaf. However, like most of us, we're more interested in the likely entertaining buildup to what will be a total trainwreck. Steiner's Catchphases were cool in 1999 but not 2003. The 12 years just love him cause he implies that he fucks chicks all day and has a huge cock.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I never understood using sexual catchphrases because what % of wrestling fans are attractive females. The only time I think it works is with someone like Rick Rude who slammed other guys in the crowd by talking down about them while doing it so it gets heat, but do most people want to hear about Steiner making girls scream. Hey! Are you saying that female wrestling fans are ugly?
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 :sits waiting patiently for someone else to post, so I can perform foot-from-mouth extraction:
Guest TheArchiteck Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 what % of wrestling fans are attractive females. Hey! Are you saying that female wrestling fans are ugly? LMAO! Most females I know only watch it to look at the Rock. Although I do know 2 that watches it every week.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Considering I hate listening to either on the microphone or watching them "work" in the ring, nothing short of at least one in-ring death is going to make me go out of my way to see that thing.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 would two career ending injuries = one in-ring death?
Guest Mole Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I am looking forward to this match. Why? I dunno, I just am. Maybe because I am hoping that Steiner will snap and break Triple-Juice's arm or something. Well atleast the build up the match is great.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Career ending injuries>death because I don't have to feel sad and guilty for wishing death on someone.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 but if there are two career ending injuries that means twice the amount of posts and topics damning us for laughing about their plight.
