Guest Redhawk Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Is Bill DeMott only getting this push because he was on Tough Enough? I was watching his "match" with Crash on tape earlier, and I was just thinking, "Who COULDN'T do what DeMott's doing?" Beat the snot out of a cruiserweight for a few minutes before hitting a finisher. There are so many younger and better wrestlers who they could give this Angry Bitter Fed-Up Guy push to, not to mention guys in OVW who have more to offer than Bill DeMott. And besides that, these kind of pushes won't work and only make WWE look bad. If DeMott is so dominant, than why isn't he a title contender? And you know when he starts wrestling bigger guys he'll lose, so they're not only admitting that he can only beat little guys, but also that their little guys suck.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 It's just a Tough Enough push. They do this every season with one of the trainers. Didn't Holly get this push last year? I'm confident it will blow over soon
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Indeed. One push. One reason. Two words. Tough Enough. Possibly to let the TE contestants kid themselves into thinking they're being tought by a legit star, instead of a washed-up jobber.
Guest YouDaFoo Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 DeMott desveres the push. He isn't a bad wrestler, he is actually a good big man. He spent so many years in the business, this is one of his big breaks, let him have it.
Guest Redhawk Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Holly got a push and Tazz got a push, but they're having DeMott just dominate everyone. His opponents get ZERO offense and the matches last less than 2 minutes. This is like a mini-mega-push.
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Al Snow is the only male trainer I actually feel has any sort of merit. Hardcore Holly? DEMOTT?! Even Tazz is kinda questionable. However, Snow, while not a success himself, has trained several WWE guys already and I think that he never really got the shot that he should have gotten. However, he's a bit too far in his career to amount to anything now. Sad.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Tazz had experience in training though. He did work for the ECW dojo.

Hell, he almost beat Angle a couple of times, I believe. It *will* blow over, especially when it fails miserably. Don't worry, he won't be headlining any ppv's any time soon. He'll probably feud with Rikishi or someone like that soon and that is all this push will envolve to.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 They just always give a mini push to the mean Tough Enough trainer, it's just about the same thing each time, Tazz, Holly, and now Billy. Next year's Tough Enough bully will get the exact same push.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Next year's Tough Enough bully will get the exact same push. That's assuming that Tough Enough 4 even happens.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 who do you think will be the bully next season?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 It's usually someone who's not being used much on the active roster...so I'll go with Ron Simmons if he's still around
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 who do you think will be the bully next season? Kevin Nash! I can just imagine it now... "You have to work hard to be in this business! THere is *no* slacking! You give 110% at all times!" It's be hypocritisy at its finest.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 I hope there's not a TE4. The gimmick is already wearing thin, same with other reality shows about pop stars! Once, it's new and interesting. Second time, "what are the changes?" still some interest. Third time, little interest. Fourth time, who cares?
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 or have the Big Show return to reprise his role of "This is only one tenth of what it takes"
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 or have the Big Show return to reprise his role of "This is only one tenth of what it takes" hehe. I laughed my ass off at that!
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Especially considering as soon as he stepped in the ring he started sweating.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Especially considering as soon as he stepped in the ring he started sweating. lol. "That was another tenth of what it takes!"
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 I'm sure they are just building him up for Undertaker...like Albert
Guest AndrewisyourHero Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 I second Ron Simmons. Or maybe even Bradshaw.
Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 The final eight tenths consist of eating pies. And Bradshaw is a good one, a little used hoss.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 or have the Big Show return to reprise his role of "This is only one tenth of what it takes" hehe. I laughed my ass off at that! Ditto to that! That's the funniest thing I've read in a week! I'd pay Paul Wight $1 for every push-up he can do on the beach, but when he finishes, I'd run away because he'd be too winded to catch me for the money anyway. Works every time.

Yeah, and you wouldn't want to be out that $6 as well

Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Offer him a big mac for each push up. I bet he could get up to ten push ups before keeling over of a heart attack.

Guest the pinjockey Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 That's ok, I almost missed the "Don't feed the AS" sign and mentioned something after his post but I will refrain.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 BOB FUCKING HOLLY. A man that has lost to everyone and their mother. And they had him eliminate Kurt Angle, hold his own in a match with him, and beat him up afterwards! Then Kurt had to fight on Velocity! WHAT THE FUCK? Was D-Von busy? And all this to have Test beat Holly totally clean two weeks later? Did this accomplish anything?
