Team Angle?

Well sorry im a little back from the times but what is the team angle stuff. I saw some pics of people who i never seen before well unless i forgot. All i know it is a stable with angle. Can someone fill me in?

I take it you didn't see Smackdown or Velocity this week?

 

On Smackdown Heyman surprised Angle with "insurance" in the name of Shelton Benjamin(black guy) and Charlie Haas.

It's a stable that was introduced by Heyman to combat Brock, consisting of excellent amateur wrestlers both from the WWE developmentals (both OVW, I believe) - Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.

 

Benjamin was the roommate of Lesnar when they're both amateurs at the University of Minnesota- in storyline terms derived from real life, he "knows" Brock.

 

It's also put into place to keep Angle away from Brock and Benoit, until Angle is completely healed from his injury, using Team Angle as the "gauntlet" to get to Kurt.

Shelton Benjamin (who made a few appearances on Heat) and Charlie Haas (fresh from OVW) comprise 2/3 of Team Angle. Both of them are amateur wrestlers in the same vein as Angle and Lesnar. And Benjamin was Lesnar's teammate at Minnesota, in addition to teaming with him as the Minnesota Stretching Crew in OVW.
