Guest converge241 Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 bob thx, you the man it was to settle a bet..i was telling a friend that gene wrestled but didnt know who it was against i believe this was a little before my time (started watching in jan 86)
Guest dreamer420 Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 It is on the Hulk Still Rules DVD complete with training as well.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 The match is from late 1984 I believe, its on the Hulk STILL Rules DVD (extra features). Nothing to brag about since Gene did nothing of note in the ring til the end which he also did very little of note.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 As an FYI, Mene Gene defeated Mark Madden in a match on Thunder (Summer 2000)with the help of Pamela Paulshock. I wonder what SK gave it.
Guest Bruiser Chong Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 I'll never get why some people have bashed this so horribly through the years. Yes it was a poor concept, but people act like Gene went out there and beat both guys by himself, when in fact he was in there for about 30 seconds after Hogan had beat them down and won the match with the aid of Hogan. The training videos were so-so, IMO, as I actually found some of them to be humorous. But that's just me.
Guest Nevermortal Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 People bash this match for no reason. It was very inoffensive, strictly for like a House Show (I'm pretty certain of that due to the VQ on the DVD). The Training vignettes were awesome. Mean Gene smoking a cigar at 5 AM.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 Yeah, and Gene stopping for a bratwurst during his run. LOL!
Guest bob_barron Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 Yea- I didn't see what was so bad. The match was pretty funny and I believe it was done in Mean Gene's hometown
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 That training had SO many homosexual overtones on it I can't even list them, the cigar smoking being the most prominent.

Guest dreamer420 Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 The training vids are hilarious. I loved Mean Gene chiefing that cigar at 5:00 am.
