Guest GameCop Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Well, according to HBK on byte this, he is still feeling the effects of his Armageddon match with HHH, so, unfortunately, he won't be wrestling Jericho at this year's Royal Rumble. Will my prediction come true? Will Jericho and HBK be the last two men in the Rumble? Will Jericho win the Rumble, only to lose his title shot to HBK at No Way Out? Will we see a HHH vs. HBK vs. Nash bout at WrestleMania 19? I think it's very apparent that HBK is only willing to work with his buddies; Jericho isn't one of them, thus he won't get the "rub." Politics will continue to plague WWE in 2003 and beyond...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Well apparently HBK was on Byte This talking about wrestling Jericho at Mania.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Oh man what if this goes the same route as the other Jericho vs. Legend match we got recently? Where Jericho jobs then beats him the next month when nobody cares about it?
Guest Human Fly Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Can anyone see the WWF putting Jericho over HBK at Wrestlemania? We still haven't seen HBK wrestle for any length of time in a non-gimmick match. Add to the fact that Shawn might not be too motivated to wrestle Jericho and this one could be a stinker. But, if Shawn is ready to work it could steal the show.
Guest Choken One Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Well, Isn't Jericho and Shawn tight Christian Buddies? I expect this to be a retirement match.
Guest iamsherm Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 If Shawn is still feeling the effects from Armaggedon, why would he be in the Rumble match? Sounds to me like he won't wrestle at all.
Guest Brian Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 You can go most of rumble match with only a handful of bumps. Shanw just has to be in during the clusterfucks and gets elminated as it thins, and he can go a whole match just punching and selling in the corner.
Guest Choken One Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Right, HBK doesn't need to be #1 again, He can come in at #26 and do a little flying action...get grounded with one big move. Crawl around the ring...Get tangled with Jericho in a Double elimination shortly before the end with Brock and Eddy.
Guest Mole Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 If Jericho fights HBK at Mania, he better win. And that match could steal the show if HBK shows up, which he bascially has since he has gotten back.
Guest Brian Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 As much as a I like Eddy, Show better fits that role. So they can culminate that feud at NWO before Angle/Brock hits overdrive.
Guest MrRant Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 God I can't wait for WM. My first one... tears of joy man... tears of joy.
Guest ryankeast Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 I think Jericho /HBK will happen at WM. Whether Jericho goes over is another thing?
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 If Shawn is still feeling the effects from Armaggedon, why would he be in the Rumble match? Sounds to me like he won't wrestle at all. The cynic in me wants to say that perhaps Shawn isnt as sore as he claims, to avoid the one-on-one match with Jericho. This way he can appear in the Rumble, and do far less work and end up with the same results. Then he'll go over Jericho at the next PPV.
Guest ryankeast Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Jesus just give in Vince and properly push your next superstars. Chris Jericho can overcome his dire 2002 if given important victories in 2003. Beating and retiring Michaels is a start. Jericho and RVD on the RAW side of things are the next superstars of the Federation but will amount to fuck all if you keep them down by looseing to part time wrestlers and the Kanes of the world.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 They could play up how bad the Walls of Jericho hurts the back, and play up HBK's back injury like always... and have Jericho make him tap. OK and now I wake up and realize Wrestlemania will be 3 hours of HHH spitting water at the crowd
Guest Mattdotcom Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 So does this mean that HHH gets Diesel one-on-one? You know what'd rock? If they had that match and JR and King called it like it was Rock/Hogan to the _nth power. Seriously, if Jericho can get a win over Michaels at WrestleMania, I'll be happy.
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 HHH/Nash? *shudder* Yep--two of the worst WWF/E champs ever to tangle in a guaranteed shitty match. Unless they throw some one who can work into it and make it a Triple Threat.
Guest AM The Kid Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 While Nash and Triple H are walking to meet in the middle in the ring both fall and tear their quads. With cheers erupting from the Safeco Centre.
Guest Choken One Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 As much as a I like Eddy, Show better fits that role. So they can culminate that feud at NWO before Angle/Brock hits overdrive. Well, Show won't be in the rumble if Brock is. Eddy was just an Randumb person I put in there.
Guest DarthLordOfWrestling Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 HBK was talking about how its hard to make it to Mania. With All his connections he definetly going to be there with a 60% chance of facing Jerico and a 100% chance of winning. That would suck.
