The heels and faces need a makeover

I keep praying for doubleturns like a Shawn and Jericho doubleturn. The thing is, right now I kind of realize that HHHs and Rocks aren't going to happen anymore. People becoming heel and aligning with a McMahon no longer means that the bookers have long term plans to keep that wrestler at the top of the card.

The way I see things right now is that the only way new megastars can be created and believed would be if all the established guys went heel (since they can afford to be buried like heels are today in the WWE) and newer guys or guys who just can't get that cement spot on the card would be the faces.

There are too many more combinations of new matches when you throw in the new guys rather than watching a HHH/Taker match and trying to figure out who is going to job.

Wouldn't you like to see Undertaker, Rock, HHH, Austin, Steiner and Lesnar all as heels with Angle, Jericho, Edge, RVD, Benoit and Booker going after them?

Most of those guys and then some can use as many strong wins as they can get. Having those "main eventers" be the heel can bring back the time when heels weren't just pussies who had no chance. Dominating heels who still job in blow off matches are great, and if those guys remained heels for most of the next couple of years, I think it will allow more of these deserving guys to stay in the mainstream and create new feuds and match combinations that the WWE so strives for.

Face it, just bringing back Austin Taker and Rock won't solve anything. The WWE has more top talent and guys who could be pushed to the moon than ever. Question is, what can you do with all of these guys.

If you stack it up, there are about 20 guys ( enough for 10 matches) who could be in main event spots as far as the WWE books them. That's enough guys to fill the WMX9 card right there.

What role as far as being a heel or face do you think these guys should play?

Steve Austin

The Rock

HHH

The Undertaker

Kurt Angle

Chris Jericho

Shawn Michaels

Chris Benoit

Rob Van Dam

Edge

Kane

Hogan( rumored )

Goldberg (rumored)

Steiner

Booker T

Rey Mysterio

Eddie Guerrero

The Big Show

Batista ( seems to be getting pushed that way )

Brock Lesnar

I fully stand behind my belief that HBK and RVD should both be heels right now. I also feel Steiner should be a heel, because he just doesn't seem right being under this gimmick as a face. If Rocky isn't a heel when he comes back, you'll have one pissed off fan here.

Austin should be a face, as should Goldberg if he comes back. Hogan should be a heel if he comes back to battle a face Austin, and that's all I have for right now.

With the exception of Steiner, I think everyone is good where they are.

JERICHO NEEDS TO TURN FACE!!!!

The "established" main eventers going heel reeks of the "Millionaire's club" vs. "New Blood" nonsense Russo brought us.

Of course, the WWE writing team is much more cap--

Wait a minute, what am I saying?

And to go back to telling the same people to Please Shut The Hell Up and to make up stupid poems about his rivals? No thank you.

Heck. He needs it just because it's the only way they'll salvage his character and restore any credibility.

After that though, he'll be the same stale Jericho we were seeing in 2000-2001 and get bored of his stale moveset and promos again.

I would like to see Rock return as a heel... perhaps using his hollywood career as a reason to bring back his old heel gimmick (which I liked)

I'd like to see Steiner as a heel, Jericho double turn with Shawn, Rock as a heel, Austin as a face, keep Angle heel, turn Hogan (if they can) and bring in Goldberg as a heel. I'd have Rock turn after WM (when he beats a heel Goldberg) and I think they could bring Goldy in as heel by playing off his "no passion for the business" and only wanting big paychecks.

I'm not in favour of a Jericho heel turn at all. His cringe-inducing promos as a face were so bad its not funny. IMO he can still be salvaged as a heel, providing he doesn't come out of this HBK program looking like an idiot(I admit i'm not holding my breath.) But even if he does get buried as a heel, he is always much much funnier in that role. Even in the ring his offense is much more suited to a heel, with his little mannerisms and such. Hell, the Jericho character is a heel, he is an obnoxious asshole, it just doesn't work when he's a face.

Jericho's never going to make it to the main events as a heel though. Jericho's offense, the roll-ups, the springboard moves, and the Walls with look far better with him as a face. I like his heel promos and all but people just don't buy it; maybe as a tweener it worked. I'd like to see Rock/Jericho double turn in a match.

I think if pushed right he could make it as a heel. Not as much comedy as before...a more serious approach, like what he did the first time he interrupted HBK, he can still be a bit comical but with a serious psychotic side to him as well...If the WWE wanted him to he COULD make it as a main event Heel, sad thing is I'm starting to doubt he ever will. I'm probably biased here beacuse for the most part I hate faces. I used to hate it when Jericho would look for cheap pops with his gay catchphrases...it used to really bother me cos he is one of the best on the mic in the WWE and he didn't need to reduce himself to that. However if I put my own personal feelings aside, maybe it would be better for his career if he turned face, i'm just sad he couldn't make it to main event status as a heel that's all.

The thing is, he's been floundering for so long he could use the face push just to refreshen things up, ala Angle this year or Rock '98.

I wouldnt mind a few weeks face push leading into a big swerve that makes him into a strong main event heel :D bit like HHH in late 2000...although the one big problem....he isn't HHH, so it won't happen.

I'll tell you who needs a heel turn. Edge. The time is right, he's gone as far as he can as a face at this point, he needs to turn heel to refresh his character. That, and he's an entertaining heel anyway. If he turns on Rey, a program between them would be over as hell.
