Guest Goodear Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Okay, I don't have cable and don't have RAW so I am going on reports and stuff I hear around here. But I want to make sure I have this strait. Booker T and Goldust are very over but seem to have trouble winning the tag titles but finally do from their arch foes, Christian and Jericho, after numerous attempts. While, at the same time, Lance Storm and William Regal go on a 8 match winning streak that no one really notices until the WWE tells everyone about since no one cares about them. But that streak doesn't really help, since they aren't over anyway. Also during that period, The Dudley Boyz get back together and sort of get over again. So the over scale looks like... Booker & Goldust > Dudleyz > Storm & Regal So, the WWE then kills all of the little momentum of the Storm/Regal tandem had from the win streak by jobbing them to the announce crew thanks to The Dudleyz. Then the very next week, Storm and Regal go on to defeat Booker & Goldust for the tag titles. Now all points seem to point to Regal & Storm facing the Dudleyz and as far as I can tell while Goldust and Booker are left with nothing. So the most over people in this grouping get pushed aside for least over people after the WWE made such a big deal about how tough it was for them to win the belts in the first place (while RVD and Kane are beating Jericho and Christian later on the show no less)? Doesn't this just make Booker and Goldust look totally weak and push them out of the tag spotlight? Sure you could say that this frees Booker up for 'bigger' things... but he's been freed up for a year now and they haven't done much with him. I don't know, this just looks like hell to me, maybe I'm rambling.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Of course! During their 8 or so months together, Booker T & Goldust have looked the weakest out of all tag teams that have been made. Next week they'll be jobbing to Nowinski & D'Lo or something.

You seem to have sumed up your post, replies and all, in your initial post, heh.
Guest Mole Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Yeah, and it makes NO sense. GREAT way to start out the new year, huh?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Maybe Booker T is going to get a Big Singles Push now? (LONG PAUSE) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Guest jester Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 It seems like face champions gets the belt for about five minutes these days, while heels hold them for months.
Guest converge241 Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Scott Kieth summed it up pretty well too by talking about the UnOver theory in his recap The whole deal of guys who are barely over or having trouble getting over trying to pass some little rub to others just doesnt work. why the hell didnt Goldust say anything last night either? that was odd
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 I'm still suprised Goldly hasn't turned on Booker yet for no reason...I wouldn't be suprised if they feuded soon. Although they're big time over as a team now
Guest Max Danger Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 You realize though, that was basically just done so that the WWE could stick the tag titles back onto The Dudleyz. So, not only are Lance Storm & William Regal transistional champions, Booker T & Goldust were transistioning for Storm & Regal. Just really retarded all the way around. All that character development for Booker T(finally attempted that Goldust was his friend and would want no one else as a partner) and Goldust(proving he isn't the weak link and all that). But, I guess they'll flounder in obsurity with the WWE masking their doing of nothing as a push, and putting them in the Rumble(though only Michaels & Jericho have any sort of shot for winning it from Raw). Oh well. Just more WWE stupidity.

Guest bob_barron Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 From my RAW recap at Smark Talk- Okay- I love Regal and all but what the fuck?? They do this great angle that makes BookDust look so great. Thus BookDust finally got their shot at holding the titles, are way over, have one great title defence and they’re immediately jobbed out?? Why give Commonwealth Connection the tag titles a week after jobbing to JR and King?? If you’re gonna build them up for a while and keep getting BookDust over to the point where you have mega over unbeatable faces and mega over unbeatable heels. Then you do what you want from here. But cutting off BookDust when they were starting to get hot and asking Commonwealth Commonwealth to carry the ball after an embarrassing loss just makes no sense.
Guest Brian Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Golddust can only turn on Booker because he lost the tag titles. Re-match at Rumble where Booker does the job and post-match, Golddust goes psychotic because he had been working so hard to keep those titles for Booker and Booker just goes and costs them the titles twice in a row.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 So the over scale looks like... Booker & Goldust > Dudleyz > Storm & Regal I got a better scale - The Pecking Order scale, which is now: Booker & Goldust < Storm & Regal < JR & KING Ah, WWE, source of such wackiness.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 extended pecking order: JR and King > Regal Storm > BookDusT > Vitamin C > Dudleyz > Vitamin C kind of a parodox thing or something. Vitamin C won them from the Dudleyz, but the Dudleyz are higher than VC push-wise so; next tag team champs : JR and King
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I thought Jericho and Christian won them from Hurricane and Kane, not the Duds...
Guest razazteca Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 well with Mr McMahon returning to Raw, you can most certainly be sure that the opening match at the Rumble will be....... Bookdust vs Dudleys vs Commonwealth Connection WHY? because Mr McMahan will become a face figurehead to challange the power hunger Manager & Cheif, so Vince will fix the Bischoff screwjob of Booker T by rewarding him with a title shot at Scott Steiners WCW Gold Belt. WHY? because Vince will screw HHH out of the title, and Booker T will become Vince's new favorite flavor of the month, not only will Vince screw Bischoff's favorites of 3MW, Commonwealth, HHH but will establish himself as the best Figurehead ever to be on WWE. Does this make sense? Is it suppose to? Rant Over
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 It makes no sense. That's why I believe it.
Guest wwF1587 Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 the use of common sense is just never in play anymore
Guest converge241 Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 "I thought Jericho and Christian won them from Hurricane and Kane, not the Duds...
