Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Take it for what it's worth -------------------------------------------------------- -Bret Hart currently has a poll up on his website (BretHart.com) asking fans whether they would like to see him return to WWE TV. Interestingly enough, on the site, Bret is currently using pictures that are copyrighted by WWE. Credit: PWTorch.com
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 As of now: Would you like to see Bret on WWE TV? Yes (55.8 %) 3945 votes No (44.2 %) 3130 votes Total vote #: 7075
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I don't think the question here should be why they do, it should be why they don't want to see him? Honestly, who wouldn't want to see Bret back?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 There's a lot of people that would think him a hypocrite for coming back. You don't call someone a murderer of your brother then accept a paycheck from them. I personally would love to see him back, but there are those who don't.
Guest ShooterJay Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 The big question: If Bret did come back to WWE TV, would you call him a hypocrite?
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 The big question: If Bret did come back to WWE TV, would you call him a hypocrite? Bret's a multi-millionaire, and that's just from Turner. Taking a full paycheck from Vince wouldn't sit right with me. If he gave most/all of his paychecks to Owen's widow, I wouldn't consider him a hypocrite.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I said No. Stay home, jackass. Not only does it make him look incredibly selfish if he starts taking checks from the guy he thinks killed his family, but I have no interest in seeing him whine. EDIT: Oh jesus. He even has a Montreal section of his site that's appearantly under construction or something. I thought you were over it, pal. Whatever happened to that speech? (EDIT 2: Ah, the site is just slow. Now it loads)
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Why would he "whine?" What's the URL to Bret's Site?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 80% of the time Bret speaks publically it's a rant about how evil promoters are, how he got screwed (from the guy who's "over it"), etc etc etc. Same old song and dance. Also, I'm wondering where all the people who say "1997 was so 20 years ago! Nobody knows who HBK is or why he's making a return" are now, hmm?
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I dunno. On one hand it's the Hitman. My favorite wrestler aside from Savage growing up. On the other hand it would be hypocritical. I think however if he's using WWE copyrighted material the writing is already on the wall.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Oh and I wouldn't blame him if he was only doing this to get access to his videos and pictures. It could be the only way he can get them.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I think the reasons the Torch mentioned the copyrighted stuff was to imply that perhaps Bret had gotten control of his collection back? Maybe he hasn't signed on the dotted line yet, but as long as WWE doesn't come by and lawyer the fuck out of him, it could be a sign.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 80% of the time Bret speaks publically it's a rant about how evil promoters are, how he got screwed (from the guy who's "over it"), etc etc etc. Same old song and dance. I love that song. Anyway, I don't want to see Bret return Fulltime either. Have him do a one time appearance, "No Way Out" in Montreal would be good, and have him give one Fairwell Speach. A Nice Send off into Retirement and let by gones, be by gones. btw, I've tried BretHart.com and it doesn't work.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 btw, I've tried BretHart.com and it doesn't work. Works for me http://www.brethart.com/
Guest Army Eye Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Yes a one time appearance. Obviously in Canada. And just an interview. No punking out McMahon, or HBK, or anything like that.
Guest graph9 Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I think a one time apperance would be good to..also i think the writers have to make the circumstances/angle good...& write his comeback well...if Bret does come i hope they don't mess it up..but knowing how shitty the writing is..they will screw up big time...But i would hate to see him wasted and going through the motions..like they did with Flair..
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I don't wanna see Bret Hart back, unless its for one night only and that one night being the RAW 10th Anniversary Show.
Guest Army Eye Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 WTF is with that first picture of Lita?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Its probably lita w/o makeup..
Guest Army Eye Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Damn.. looks like Lita computer aged by 50 years or something
Guest franchise632 Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Bottom line is Bret only has to get up and look at one person in the mirror every morning. If he can come back to Vince and then get up and look at himself and be ok. Thats all that should matter. If he cant then he should stay in Calgary and work on get 100% healthy. Either way Im happy.
Guest godthedog Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 i say yes, for 2 reasons: 1) it'll mean to me that he's made amends and is at peace. 2) if he gets the rights to his matches, we are sure to get the kick ass wrestling dvd to end all kick ass wrestling dvd's. one-time appearance only. i'd be willing to make an exception to see him in benoit's corner in a match v. angle at no way out, but that's about it. i don't want his character fucked with.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I think Bret coming back could only work as a one time deal...could you really see him coming back working storylines? With Bret, so much of what he's said has been real, I couldn't see him doing angles
Guest Mole Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Whatever Bret wants to do, is fine by me. I'd like to see him back, and if he doesn't come back, that's fine too. And Lita looks like a fat h-bomb addict in one of those pictures. Mole
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 2) if he gets the rights to his matches, we are sure to get the kick ass wrestling dvd to end all kick ass wrestling dvd's. I have a question? When ever WWE sells an old WM, Royal Rumble etc, or whenever a Chyna or DX Video gets sold, does former Wrestlers get Royality checks?
ChrisMWaters Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I still say that Bret Hart will come back and be the new Raw GM. I may be wrong, but we shall see.
Guest BAR Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 If Bret came back for ONE night only, not only would he be back, I'd tune in for the first time in a long time also. But, I definately wouldn't want to see him back permenently. It just wouldn't seem 'right'. They probably buthcher his legacy even more, anyway.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 graph9, please learn to put your Lita pictures in the board's signature file. Click on "Your Control Panel" at the top of the screen, please. Some of us intentionally turn off signatures so we don't have to see the pictures everyone leaves at the end of their posts.
