Guest Frankie Williams Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Is it going to be a new man every one minute or two?? Last night on Velocity, Josh ran down the rules which included the one minute rule, but he also said the match was an hour long. This isnt the first time Ive head this. Anyone else experiencing the same annoyance as me?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Can't get any information on this online. That Velocity statement is the first time I've heard anything about the Rumble rules. They took their sweet time announcing anything about this card, and thus the only match that gets anything more than casual meniton on the web site is this one
Guest The Old Me Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I think it'll be a new man every minute, so it should be over before an hour is up, I'm sure. Josh is just a fucktard.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well even with a new man coming in every minute the match could be an hour or at least close. It will take 30 minutes for everyone to enter but that doesn't mean that the match can't last another 30 minutes. I'm calling the match time at 50 minutes.
Guest CanadianChris Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well, that pretty much seals it for me...I won't be ordering this. One-minute intervals suck.

I agree 100%, and I don't understand why more people don't grasp that concept. Just because it is one minute, instead of two, btween entrants, it doesn't mean that it will be thirty minutes long, I pretty much guarentee you that wont be the case. What if they are doing this to keep the action fast and furious, and in your face, in order to get a bunch of guys in the ring at the same time, just like the old days? I am going to go out on a line and say the Rumble will be around 50-55 minutes long.
Guest Choken One Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 The time interverls are NEVER accturate. Expect it to take 38 minutes for all 30 men to enter, Expect a LONG end ending the match At 48 minutes.
Guest Jack Tunney Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 The regular matches are: tag titles world title wwe title dawn/torrie (I might be forgetting one) So why cant they have an hour long Rumble. How much time are these gonna take up?
Guest The Tino Standard Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Brock-Big Show match. I really don't see a need for the tag title match other than to give us a curtain-jerker and as for the women's "match", well, I just don't see any need for that at all. Then again, if that one match alone disappeared, I don't think that would clear up enough time to extend the Rumble to 2-min intervals. Figure even with pre-match and post-match shenanigans, the whole thing should run 10-15 mins. The Rumble would need an extra 30 min for the longer intervals.
Guest The Superstar Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well...here's what I'm thinking as far as time goes: Tag Titles: 10 minutes MAX. Brock/Big Show: Under 10 minutes. Dawn/Torrie: Oh, Lord. PLEASE keep this under 5 minutes. World Title: To cover up both guy's weaknesses, keep this around 10 minutes. WWE Title: PLEASE give this at LEAST 20 minutes. =~60 minutes. Let's say a half hour of backstage stuff and entrances, etc...that leaves PLENTY of time (~90 minutes) for the Rumble.

It will not go for one hour.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 It's two minutes. Coach just showed a graphic on Heat.
