Is No Way Out the last hope...

Okay, did my page load wrong, becuase I don't see pappajacks orginal post.

If Bret does comeback, it will be in Canada.

However, I don't think he will. His stroke has left him very bad looking, so I doubt he'll come back to the ring. It would be very sad to see.

There is nothing in the priginal post, I just replied.

I think Bret is best left at home where he can finish out his life without wrestling around anymore. It has been so harsh to him, why the hell would he come back? I sure as hell wouldn't.

There has to be hope to begin with in order to have "the last hope".

If Bret was healthy then yes he'd return, but he's not healthy and has no reason to return.

Has anyone seen, or at least seen a picture online of Bret Hart since he had a Stroke? If so, how bad does he look?

Why can't I see my original post? Anyways, I'll re-type my post.

No Way Out is the first PPV in Montreal since the infamous SS 1997 screwjob. For the last 3 years, a month hasn't gone by without some kind of rumor involving Bret and the WWE. I'm aware that Bret recently said in an interview with WOL that he wasn't interested to be part in the storylines. But, things change. He also once said that he would never talk to Vince again.

I have a feeling that if he does comeback (whether if it's to be involved in the storylines or simply for a final good bye), it's going to be at No Way Out. The only way to put a closure to Montreal is to actually show up there, shake Vince's hand and let bygones be bygones. Vince gives Bret his library footage for the appearance and then they go their seperate way. This scenario will allow the founder of the Hoss Foundation (Jim Ross) to say his"anything can happen in the WWE" line and will allow wrestling fans to say one final good bye to one of the greatest wrestlers ever to enter the ring.

If I were Bret, I'd stay the hell away from wrestling.

That being said, if Bret were to run down during the Jericho/HBK match at NWO and cost Shawn the win, the place would EXPLODE.

I don't think it's THAT out of the question for Bret to make a one time appearance at No Way Out... just a small 10 minute slot where he can come out, and get the chance to finally say goodbye. He says that he doesnt want to be used to pop a rating or buyrate, so I say, do it unannounced and unexpectantly. Who cares if he looks bad physically? He can still talk (even though he sounds winded) and they can run the footage on RAW the next night. Or hell, if they must, just send a WWE crew to his home and film him saying goodbye to the fans. Play it at the ppv and at RAW the next night, and then announce that they'll be doing a special dvd of Bret's career as a tribute to him

of course, that's what I would do at least

It would be cool to see Bret return and screw HBK so he loses to Jericho. I know it won't be happening though as I really don't believe that Bret would return to the WWE while Michaels is featured as one of their top stars.

Well... there's a problem. HBK is a face, so it would go over well in Canada, but in the end, Bret would come off looking like a heel. Plus I doubt he has enough strength to do a "run in"

it's not going to happen. there's a big hoo-ha over the hulkster coming back, people will be buying no way out in the hopes of an austin return. what possible good would having an ill-looking bret hart making a surprise appearance do? if it was going to happen at any time (which it inevitably will), there would be a big deal made over it, and if it happened at no way out it would be overshadowed by too many other things going down. so no way.

on a related note, if and when goldberg is brought in i urge each and every fan to give him the earl hebner "you screwed bret" chant relentlessly from the opening bell until the pinfall.

i watched canadian stampede again recently, and it just breaks my heart to think that within five years of that main event (arguably one of the grearest wrestling matches ever) three of the team were dead and one a stroke victim. i sure hope jim neidhart manages to live to a ripe, healthy old age.

There is no way that HBK is a face in Montreal. No way in hell. He will be booed out of the building, I can guarantee you that.

Even if Bret doesn't show up, HBK will receive heel heat. That might be the reason why Jericho is facing Test at No Way Out. It will be a risk (in terms of his babyface personna) to bring back HBK to Montreal.

It'd probably be more a walk-in, but he'd be there for that psych-out element.

HBK is a face in the sense that Rock was a face at Wrestlemania X-8. He may be playing a face, but the fans in Canada hate him and the fans in the US could care less either way.

Michaels has now had 4 title runs and tanked ratings and buyrates every time. He is over with the Jeff Hardy crowd, and that's it.

That might be why they're not having HBK wrestle in Canada. Save it for Mania, maybe. Maybe he'll cost Jericho the match with Test and start a heel turn.
