Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Brian Gewirtz wasn’t at the Royal Rumble or Raw this week because he was suspended for a week after a backstage argument with Paul Heyman. Heyman was also suspended from the creative team, but appeared as a talent as manager of Team Angle and the Big Show. Because of their conflicting views on how to promote wrestling, Heyman and Gewirtz have many backstage, loud confrontations. Neither were large factors in how the Royal Rumble was booked. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Guest DeputyHawk Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 damn striaght. now give nash the pencil like we know he deserves.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Shit, he's halfway alrerady got it if he can take his rightful place beside HHH and boot Regal and Flair off when he returns.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Who the Hell is writing Raw then? Raw hasn't been all that bad the last Two Weeks.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I hope Gerwitz never comes back, the guy sits down and writes a whole bunch of dusty finishes and throws them together with random names.
Guest NoCalMike Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 would be nice if someone leaked out some quotes from the two.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Gerwitz: YOU FAT FUCK! Heyman: GET LAID YOU PIECE OF SHIT! Gerwitz: ECW SUCKED! (Heyman kicks Gerwitz in the nuts)
Guest Justwitty Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Anyone else have the idea that maybe (and this is a BIG maybe) Vince is actually enjoying having these two at each other's throats? I remember in Bret Hart's shoot interview (I think it was his) that he said Vince loved to try and create tension among his two big stars in a feud. Stir shit up if you will. Bret and Hulk were the example in the shoot but I've heard stories about Bret/Shawn and Triple H/Rock before as well. I know it isn't an onscreen thing but maybe Vince loves the idea of the two head writers not named Stephanie of each show hating each other and thus fostering a genuine spirit of competition. I don't agree with this philosophy but what do you guys think?
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 just to add something to this, i was listening to the No Name Show on 1wrestling, and Scherer said none of that was true,Gerwitz had to leave for family or something
Guest crandamaniac Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 According to RajahWWF, Gerwitz was on vacation with his family during the Rumble. There's no truth the the backstage argument
Guest Justwitty Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Well, on the bright side, even though Gerwitz wasn't suspended...at least Heyman wasn't either. Smackdown w/o Heyman's influence at this point? :::shudders::: MAIN EVENT: Rikishi vs. Team Angle (Stinkface for all!) And Nathan Jones makes Edge pay for his A-Train failures in the opening match. "The hell is an Edge-e-cution mate? I've been to prison. We execute our blokes."
Guest Brian Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Rajah or Meltzer. Rajah or Meltzer. Rajah or Keller. Let's see who's more reliable.
Guest evilhomer Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Anyone else have the idea that maybe (and this is a BIG maybe) Vince is actually enjoying having these two at each other's throats? This was something that Heyman talked about on his Off The Record interview as well.
Guest netslob Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 i heard Heyman got suspended because Stephanie thought he looked fat in a bathing suit... ...or am i getting two stories mixed up?
