Guest Redhawk Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 So Eric Bishcoff went to Texas last night to find Steve Austin, leaving RAW in the hands of Chief Morley. Here's a thought for people who think too much: Why didn't Bischoff go to Texas BEFORE the show? Seriously, aren't there six other days in the week when Eric could have went and looked for Austin? Why would he go on a Monday and leave his show--the one that he has a week to choke and make phlegm or whatever--in the hands of Morley? Not saying that Morley's incompetent, but wouldn't you be at the show if you had to save it. And what HAS Bischoff done besides go after Austin, anyway?
Guest Coffey Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Here's a question: Why did Bischoff go to San Antonio when the WWE has been telling us for years that Austin is from Victoria TX?
Guest Lightning Flik Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Here's a question: Why did Bischoff go to San Antonio when the WWE has been telling us for years that Austin is from Victoria TX? Could be the exact same reason they kept on telling us Christian is from Toronto, Canada. He is, but he lives in Florida. (or was that Edge?)

Christian lives in Tampa, FLA, and Edge moved to Barbados or the Bahamas or something. I remember at X8, in Toronto, they announced Christian as "Formerly from Orangeville, Ontario, but now residing in TAMPA, FLORIDA" and it got some decent heat. I still want to know who the cowboy was at Austin's house.
Guest Steviekick Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 at least there wasn't a white hummer involved
Guest BifEverchad Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 I heard on a random website that Eazy-E could only get a ticket for that particular time, because he scammed the airline and said his Grandmother died. But thats only what I 'heard'.
Guest art_vandelay Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Haha~! I didn't even think of that... and I'm willing to bet that no one except 2 other people on the planet did either. But it is fun to look for these things, so why don't I try to find a logic gap from tonight's show too: JR was shilling a Hogan appearance tonight. "Come see the Immortal Hulk Hogan tomorrow night, go support the competition and drive us out of business!" Oh wait, I think I know why he did that, he wants the fans to see Hogan, knowing that Hogan sucks, so the fans would want to watch Raw instead.
Guest Brian Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Was Bischoff already in Texas pre-show? Because then he might have gone there ahead of time, and been looking for a while. Or maybe he decided a week before the show, like they do PPV's, he could do the hard sell in signing Austin since he couldn't reach him.
Guest redneckBEBE Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Austin lives in the San Antonio area. Victoria is his hometown.
Guest snuffbox Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 I think the wwe probably is at about a 1 every 5 minutes ratio for logic gaps these days. The only real gaps are when there actually is some semblance of logic.
Guest Redhawk Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Two questions: 1. Why would Vince McMahon fly all the way to D.C. just to show up for maybe five minutes at the arena? Couldn't he have called Morley and said what he had to say. 2. Do they really think the fans pick one show and only watch that? Booking Vince as a heel on one show and a babyface on the other one is stupid.
Guest crandamaniac Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 I still want to know who the cowboy was at Austin's house. That was Beauford man. Freakin Beauford! Don't tell me you don't know who Beauford is!

Guest Trivia247 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Find it funny as a Smark that in storyline Bischoff is trying to move Heaven and earth to get back Austin, that back in the WCW days he fired Austin..and later claimed that a Bald headed guy in black basic tights is not marketable.

Better yet, what makes Bischoff so sure he can sign Austin anyways? We all know this is going to end with Austin snubbing Bischoff and going to Smackdown. I mean, the WWE has pretty much made it policy to remind us all the time that Bischoff said Austin was "unmarketable" back in WCW... gotta love continuity.
Guest Brian Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 He's not. That's why he went to Texas. He needs to sign him to keep his jobs.

One could argue that, by signing Austin on live TV, Eric would have definately make the move that would ensure his job. Imagine all of the millions of wrestling fans who would go nuts when they knew for sure that Austin would be back by watching it with their very own eyes...they'd call their friends, who would flip to RAW, making the ratings shoot up 2 whole points...etc. OK, that wouldn't happen, but I can at least buy the argument. There's way more logic gaps in the WWE than this one.
