Alex Buznego sent this report of Kelsey Grammer's appearance on "The Late Show" last night. ... Kelsey Grammer was on "The Late Show with David Letterman" last night, and Dave brought up the situation with Tough Enough 3 and MTV. Grammer said that the house next door was, a "run-down piece of crap" that gets rented out all the time for filmings and productions. He explained there was a show about "beginning wrestlers" to be filmed there for MTV. He clarified that there is an ordinance in Malibu that requires approval from the neighborhood if a production will take more than 4 days. TE3 was scheduled to take 40 days to film, the bulk of the summer, so Grammer was hesitant. His wife, Camille Grammer, who used to dance for MTV, told him not to trust MTV. She said if they say it's 40 days and 20 kids, that it'll end up being a year long with 500 kids. So Grammer called up MTV to make sure this wouldn't balloon into a huge production, and they assured him it was fine, so he signed off to allow it. Later on, however, he found out that they had rented out 100 parking spots across the street, so Grammer pulled the plug. Letterman told him he did the right thing (what else was he going to say?). Letterman also pointed out, "It's not like we need anymore wrestlers. We have plenty of wrestlers." He didn't mention anything about the Rock making fun of his bald head on TV. I guess them Hollywood types got to stick together. I'd like to hear "Big's" rebuttal on this take of the story. ... Thanks to ME and Dave Barry for also sending a report of the show.

I saw the interview last night and based on how the story came off, I think Grammar was completely justified in not signing off to let them come into the neighborhood. Based on his wife's story about MTV and the WWE's past as far as keeping promises, (WWF vs. WWF anyone?) how could he possibly trust those trying to get him to sign?

I completely agree with Grammar. I figured that if he was ever asked about it, he would appear all arrogant towards wrestling, but he didn't

Oh ok, I see his point now.

Thats a hell of a lot of activity to be right next door to you for an entire summer.

I can respect his decision. At least he thought before he acted.

Now, allow Vince to make us all look like bridge trolls when he claims on cable television, that Grammer doesn't "get it".

I have to agree with the rest of you guys. Grammar was perfectly justified.

I think Grammar was justified too, but who here would have laughed their asses off if he'd said "I was trying to prevent another Jackie Gayda from stinking up the ring?"

I would have.

I bet his dad yelled at him, then hijinxs insued, which was followed by a visit from Lillith.

Personally, I think he was just mad because Frederick got cut.
