Guest Nanks Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Is it just me or was trading stopped like 3 months ago, perhaps longer?? All of a sudden Johnny Stamboli has managed to end up on SD! as part of Nunzio's "family", and apparently Redd Dogg is now called The Dog and is on RAW. Wonder how they'll explain away this little incontinuity. Or maybe they were hoping we wouldn't notice...
Guest HartFan86 Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 In one post, you posted out 3 things that makes me just want to punch the booking team in the face: 1. Nunzio and Noble...that just randomly stopped. 2. Redd Dogg with Cena (Redd Dogg is now on Raw???) 3. Stamboli now on SD. I'm sorry, but this is just so depressing and foolish.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 They'll play it off like no one noticed...just like Sheldon coming over from the Raw/Heat group.
Guest Downhome Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Maybe Red Dogg can bring in Al Green to be his manager, heh.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Red dog is on raw? o....k
Guest Nanks Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Redd Dogg, now known as The Dog, is coming to RAW with Teddy Long as his manager. He's already started working RAW house shows.
Guest Goodear Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Oh yes, because Johnny Stamboli and Red Dog are worth getting upset about. Both guys have been on for like 6 shows between them, I can't say I care if they move or not. Well, thats not true... I'm glad Red Dog got moved so Cena could go pure solo since I prefer him that way.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Stamboli hasn't been on Heat in close to 2 months, and Red Dog made all of 1 appearance on SD. I'm sure the majority of the fans won't notice or care. As disappointed as I am w/ the Knoble/Nunzio droped angle, I'm interested to see where Nunzio's Family goes. I like Palumbo & Stamboli (and Nunzio), so I'm ready to get into them. Hopefully we don't see a triple-Stink Face on SD to completely kill the group right out of the chute.
Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 From what I've read from Heat recaps today they showed Teddy Long dumping D-Lo in favor of Redd Dogg and then having him attack D-Lo.
Guest Choken One Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 No one even knew who Stamboli was...Is it THAT big of a deal? Pretty fucking normal TSM nick picky thing to do...
Guest razazteca Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 well on Heat the announcers gave Red Dog a regular vanilla name something like Tod Boring.
Guest Choken One Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Tod Boring? Wow...Can you feel the electrictiy?
Guest JMA Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Tod Boring? Wow...Can you feel the electrictiy? Now when the crowd chants "boring" they'll think it's for him.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 What about Jazz's less talented Husband.
Guest fazzle Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 They'll play it off like no one noticed...just like Sheldon coming over from the Raw/Heat group. Actually, wasn't he originally on Velocity, and then moved to Heat, then brought back to Smackdown?
Guest Gary Busey Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 No one even knew who Stamboli was...Is it THAT big of a deal? Pretty fucking normal TSM nick picky thing to do... It's all about the little details. All characters should be accounted for and have purpose, which helps flesh out the larger details. When you see a good drama, you shouldn't have to ignore parts of the show or the history of the wrestlers to enjoy it. It should be layered enough so that everything has meaning to the normal fans, and even more than enough meaning for the smart fans, who also take into account the longer backstories.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 They'll play it off like no one noticed...just like Sheldon coming over from the Raw/Heat group. Actually, wasn't he originally on Velocity, and then moved to Heat, then brought back to Smackdown? Was the roster deal in effect then? Cause I know he wrestled on Heat for a few weeks in a row.
Guest Repo Man jr Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Tod Boring? Wow...Can you feel the electrictiy? Now when the crowd chants "boring" they'll think it's for him. Thats genius!

Thats genius! but then Hunter would complain that Tod Boring was stealing his heat durring his matche. Cause that's all you'd hear.
Guest iamsherm Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Just to add another point of view: Maybe these guys were released from their respective brands' contracts? I mean, how many times when WCW was around did we see someone released (or their contract was up) only to mysteriously show up on the rival promotion's program the next week? How many times do we still see this (i.e. Raven appearing on TNA)? RAW and Smackdown are supposed to be competing brands. Trades aren't the only option for moving one superstar to the other.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 They will most likely explain on RAW that Redd Dogg was traded for Johnny Stamboli.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 They will most likely explain on RAW that Redd Dogg was traded for Johnny Stamboli. I'm betting that they just won't mention it
Guest the 1inch punch Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Redd Dogg's new name is Rodney Mack Maybe if they'd called him Rodney King, and have him beat-down by security a lot THERE'S AN ANGLE!!!!!!
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 In one post, you posted out 3 things that makes me just want to punch the booking team in the face: 1. Nunzio and Noble...that just randomly stopped. 2. Redd Dogg with Cena (Redd Dogg is now on Raw???) 3. Stamboli now on SD. I'm sorry, but this is just so depressing and foolish. Yeah but the common fan doesn't give two shits about any of those guys, so why should the booking team make sense with them?

The idea of putting these people on TV is to make the common fan care about them. Then that doesn't happen, so they have these guys trade shows as if nobody ever notices, and then the fans who pay attention gwt their intelligence insulted.

It it also makes the brand extension look even more of a joke then it already is.
