Guest humongous2002 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I have received a number of email from people asking me what is the latest in the situation with Bill Goldberg and WWE. Here is what I have heard. According to a few sources, the negotiations between the sides has intensified in the last few days. People close to the parties have told me that concessions have been offered from both sides and for the first time since the sides have begun talking, there appears to be a good chance that a deal could happen. It should be interesting to note that Goldberg has become something of a "last minute" dealmaker, as he has taken things down to the wire in recent dealings with Japanese promotions. The general feeling around the business is that the No Way Out PPV will be used as something of a springboard for WrestleMania and if Goldberg is going to be on board for that, the company needs to get him in the fold quickly. Guest myburninghammer Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 well, the upside to this (and I'm trying to look at this with the glass half full approach) is that with Goldberg/Rock setup, they can move Austin to Smackdown and give Benoit an opponent for Wrestlemania. Oh wait, that's too logical....
Guest art_vandelay Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Is this too much too soon? I mean, they've got Rock, Hogan and Austin all making their returns in the same month. If Goldberg comes in now, I think the importance of each one will decrease. If they are bringing him in, I think they should do it the day after Mania, or at the actual event itself.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 they dont need goldberg, so im sure they'll sign him.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 If Goldberg is signed for Smackdown, then we can all say goodbye to Benoit's career, because I'm sure Goldberg's hell-bent on putting another great Canadian wrestler into retirement. Bald bastard.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Another big name with zero wrestling abilities and a big ego comes to the WWE. Where did it say he was coming?? It just said negoitations had intensified
Guest fosta Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 They don't need Goldberg. They don't need any more big names. They just need to use what they have properly.
Guest tpww7 Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Fuck Goldberg. That seems to be the thought of alot of people here. Goldberg =
