Guest Steviekick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 More fun stuff from shopzone this week.. Brock's "Fury Unleashed" T-shirt... Almost a really cool T-Shirt. The picture of the back with the Brock demon skull tatoo as a hurricane is cool, but I think the front of the shirt is a little to wordy. "Fury Unleashed" is already on the back of the shirt, so it was really unnecessary to be on the front of it. Trish Baby Doll Nice and simple design, but I really don't see any woman I know really wanting to wear one. There really isn't that much of a market for women's wrestling T's. Edge Head T-shirt I think this is a cool t-shirt. It is a wrestling shirt that doesn't call attention to itself like too many other wrestling shirts. I bet this one will be marked down soon since Edge is out for a year. WWE Plush Dolls Not that I'm trying to be Jerry Seinfeld, but I really want to meet the marketing executive who came up with this idea. While Rey isn't too bad, Hurricane is goofy looking, and the Kane is just flat out disturbing. Seriously, how many small children do you know really want to cuddle up at night with a necrophiliac? It's kind of funny how the WWE always it talking about how they're all about the 17-35 demographic, but these are blatantly marketed for the 3-7 crowd. Other than that, they had Brock and Stacy bobbleheads that look like nothing like their real life counterparts, and a Wrestlemania varsity jacket that went for $225.
Guest CanadianChick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Edge shirt is cool, but why make a new shirt for him if he's out for a year? Who are the ad wizards that came up with that idea (thanks Adam Sandler)?
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I actually think those dolls look alright. I used to have the Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior wrestling buddies during my childhood.
Guest papacita Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Hurricane's looks fine, but that Kane doll...*shudders*
Guest Steviekick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Hurricane's looks fine, but that Kane doll...*shudders* Exactly...i'm going to be 22 this summer and i'm terrified of it.
Guest AndrewTS Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Edge shirt is cool, but why make a new shirt for him if he's out for a year? Who are the ad wizards that came up with that idea (thanks Adam Sandler)? They probably already were planning to release it, and didn't care that he happened to be injured, since they could still make a few more bucks out of it. I would get it if I was an Edge fan who didn't mind wearing purple. The Brock shirt looks like it was photoshopped onto him. They made a Stacy bobblehead?! Oh come on, the jokes just write themselves.
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Brock Shirt looks fine, ESP the back...Trish shirt isn't bad but nothing special... Edgeheads shirt was likely made before the injury besides...Who wears Purple? I used to love the Plush Dolls I had in my younger years (Hogan, Sting, Savage, Warrior, Dibiase) I had those...Was STING The only WCW doll made? I don't think those doll are made for 3-7 year olds but more for collecters.
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Brock shirt looks like it was photoshopped onto him. They made a Stacy bobblehead?! Oh come on, the jokes just write themselves. the shirt probably was you think he has the time to drop by coneticut every time they want to release a shirt
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 CO they mad e a Flair too, I have it. and all the others.
Guest CanadianChick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Edgeheads shirt was likely made before the injury besides...Who wears Purple? I do. And I actually may buy that shirt soon.
Guest Steviekick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I don't think those doll are made for 3-7 year olds but more for collecters. Believe me, I know all about how they get collectors to get all kinds of silly toy things just because. I skipped dinner last night in order to pick up an Eric Bischoff figure. I don't know, but they just don't do it for me for some reason. They made a bunch of the WCW dolls. They made Nash, Hall, Sting, Hogan, Savage, Luger, and DDP. I have the little DDP one that talks. I got it as a gift, and the painful noises they recorded for when you squeeze it are hysterical
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Someone has it out for edge. PURPLE? This is the man who has also has piss yellow and flaming red shirts.
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Yeash! Nash? I was talking about the old school buddies...I also had the Luger one (not the later day one) and I MIGHT had the Flair one...
Guest Steviekick Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Yeash! Nash? I was talking about the old school buddies...I also had the Luger one (not the later day one) and I MIGHT had the Flair one... Hahaha..I rememberr what your talking about. I think they were made by Galoob or something. I always liked the 5inch figures in that set but never got any. Aside from Sting, for some reason I always wanted the Z-Man and Brian Pillman two pack.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I can't tell if I like that Brock shirt or not...They displayed the shirt horribly. It looks like it's on a Brock cardboard standee, but the shirt doesn't even look real. The design on the back of brock's shirt looks good, but that huge F 5 on the front isn't very good looking.
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 By the way Did WWE ever have a Cute name for the F5 or are they expecting the rubes to connect that to the Tornado?
Guest TheArchiteck Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Hah...truthfully.....Trish got the best shirt. Looks like a regular shirt. Edge wouldn't be so bad if it was a more masculine color.
Guest Crux Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Those big, blocky "F-5" letters on Brock's shirt dont sit well w/ me Trish's shirt is nice...plain Edge's shirt is alright, coulda chosen a better color scheme though *** All 3 of those 'dolls' creep me out...Rey's eyes are pretty frightening, the most tame is the Hurricane one, while the most scary is Kane's...ugh.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 While Rey isn't too bad what
Guest CED Ordonez Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Seeing how Sacramento is Kings Country, you could probably get away with wearing a purple and silver shirt around here. I wouldn't have any qualms getting one if I actually had some cash to spend. Brock's new F5 shirt fails the first good t-shirt design test for it has big f'n words on it. I wouldn't get the dolls, but it reminds me of my childhood days when I'd repeatedly give brainbusters to my Ultimate Warrior wrestling buddy. Memories...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I have the Hogan and Warrior Wrestling buddies. Neither is in to good shape though (mostly in need of a washing, but Im curious as to how to wash em)
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Take an risk and practice on the Warrior one first...I am sure old school scrubbing will do the job tho...
Guest humongous2002 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Brock's shirt sucks as much as his promo skills, and Edge has the gayest shirt i've ever seen but what do you expect from the guy that came out with the terms Edgeheads(a name for his fans), Edge army and Edgecution, what'll be next? The Edgecave, the Edgemobile, same Edgetime, same Edge channel?
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Edge wouldn't be so bad if it was a more masculine color. why?? its a womens shirt
