Dark Matches: Show started with the Desire video... Kanyon promo on the Titantron. Kanyon got tons of pops. He has a valet--JACKIE F'N GAYDA!! A use for her she can't screw up much. Kanyon got boos when he ripped on Pittsburgh and when he came out. Kanyon vs. Shark Boy Not a GREAT match, but was certainly fun. Kanyon mocked the fin pose, and Shark Boy got chants for him, and hit the Diamond Dust even. Kanyon won with the Flatliner (dark matches will be spoiled). Nathan Jones vs. J.R. Ryder - Nathan wore UFC-style gloves and "sexy hot pants (guy in front of me, jokingly)." I yelled "Jones is the worst fucking wrestler I've ever seen!" He no-sold Ryder's offense, did a clothesline, big kick, and a gutwrench slam (that won the match). The crowd booed him for his shitty match. I can now saw that I know for sure that Nathan Jones sucks the cock as far as ring skills from first hand experience. Velocity?! (forget just when the fireworks went off and Velocity started--I think it was after Noble-Tajiri. Jamie Noble vs. Tajiri - Good match, Tajiri got a nice pop, and so did some of his stiffer-looking kicks. Johnny Stamboli vs. Funaki - Funaki cheered heavily here. Near the back of us a "Where's My Pizza?" chant got going. Stamboli looked kinda sluggish. Decent match. Shannon Moore vs. Matt Stryker - Jobber match. Moore got heat but cheers during the match. A hurracanrana was kinda fucked up by Moore. Bill DeMott vs. B.J. Payne - Short, crappy match. DeMott had boos and apathy, depending on the sections. Smackdown: Team Angle vs. Mysterio & Kidman -Team Angle got huge heat (although some cheers), Mysterio got a gignormous pop...and Kidman was alright for Kidman. Good little opener, kinda spotty of course. Fun, fun. Dawn Marie/Sean O'Haire promo. He tells her to flash the crowd, same old catchphrase. She comes out, cuts a short promo, and pulls her shirt off-- I didn't see where I was what was underneath. I assume she wore something underneath, but she forgot that our side of the arena couldn't see. Hm. Rhyno & Chris Benoit vs. Los Guerreros - HUGE pop for Benoit and Rhyno's entrances. Mixed for Los Guerreros. Nice long match, but unfortunately no Gore. The ending sucked, I think. Steph announced at WM that Rhyno & Benoit, Guerreros, and Team Angle will be competing with the tag team titles on the line. Rikishi vs. Chuck Palumbo - Better than I expected. The pointless FBI/Rikishi program continues. Guerreros saved Rikishi post match, and I felt ill about that. Kendrik/Steph promo. Yawn. Matt Hardy v. 1 promo... He challenges any Cruiserweight to a Non-Title Match except Rey. Matt Hardy got lots of cheers--I guess Matt Facts are added post-production. Kendrik comes out with a mask with a beak attached, and gives Chimmel (?) a piece of paper--he's announced as the "Pittsburgh Penguin (still doing that gimmick)." He did do the Sliced Bread #2. And--small spoiler: and was unmasked during the course of the match. Hmmm...probably will come into play in a storyline. Big show & A-Train vs. Funaki & Tajiri - The Japanese dudes got in some cool spots to get a decent match going. A-Train still sucks, and Big Show didn't do much in the match. Some production fuck ups happened. A GGW/Stacker 2 promo was played twice, some pre-taped promos didn't have sound for part of them. Hm. Team Angle w/ Angle promo. Angle disses his home town and says he's the only success story to come out of Pittsburgh. "Except for Mr. Rogers, but he's dead so he doesn't count." Huge heat for that. Angle and Brock both got tons of reaction...mixed for Angle, almost all cheers for Brock (some guys near me booed Brock as well. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle Eh--no spoilers. We did get to see 2 F-5s on Heyman after Taker cleared the ring. A-Train stood at the top of the ramp when it was just Heyman and Brock in the ring, but didn't save...just stood there looking cowardly. When Brock got in Heyman's face he screamed "I WANT MY MOMMY!!" Hella fun show. Some of the promos/matches aren't in order because I forget just where they were. I don't know if any of my signs got on camera or not, but I was seated at the left of the Titantron. Pops of the night: Brock Taker Benoit Rhyno Rey Matt There was a guy behind us standing near the back of the Titantron who looked like Al Wilson--but seemed too thin to be him...

A friend of mine (also there, completely different part of the arena) was really pissed about that part. He booed Angle for that and he's an Angle fan.

Just...be careful, Kurt. By the way, at the end of the show Brock went out to ringside where a fan had one of those plastic WWF Title belts (they still sell them and yes it was a WWF belt) and held it up over his head. The crowd cheered, then he gave it back to the fan. I thought that was pretty cool.
