Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Vince McMahon had his writing staff come with him on a vacation of sorts to Boca Raton Florida over the Christmas holiday, although it was very much a work trip. The point of the meetings was to talk about booking for the first quarter of 2003 leading into Wrestlemania. It was said that it was at this meeting that McMahon made public his decision to really push to sign Goldberg to be a part of WWE. It is likely that McMahon hoped Goldberg would be a part of Wrestlemania, although the deal was done past the point where his being included at the event would have been most meaningful. credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter Suprising that they booked for the whole quarter when every Monday night it seems the booking came from during the commercial break.
