Guest Memphis Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Despite internet rumors, it appears as if WWE has little to no interest in bringing back Lex Luger. However, Luger continues to work out and get into shape in case there is ever interest. Source: 1wrestling.com Well that still doesn't make up for Goldberg. M
Guest WhenDanSaysJump Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 So the Lex Express won't be coming to my town any time soon?
Guest Damn You Helmsley Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 They got the inside scoop courtesy of ol' Willie, I'd imagine.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 They've shown disinterest in people before and then went ahead and signed them eventually anyway. The first one that comes to mind is Van Dam. Hell, they've got people on their roster now they don't have an interest in.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 That's not really news. It's not news till someone actually signs a deal. One week the reports say interested, one week they dont...endless cycle.
Guest Downhome Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 I still say he'll get signed. Luger is not listed for May's WWA tour or anything like that soon, so he's obviously keeping his options open just in case. Just have faith, he'll come soon enough!
Guest saturnmark4life Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Dear lord. I can't believe Vince, even Vince fucking McMahon would scrape the bottom of a barrel this deep.
Guest Cerebus Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Oh no. Lex Luger is not Mr. America. My heart bleeds.
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Yeah, for now. But once Goldberg bombs but laughs all the way to the bank with his final paycheck, Luger sends in a photo of himself looking like HHH did in Downhome's old sig, and... Vince: I'm interested.
Guest Cerebus Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 TAKA should be Mr America I was actually thinking of having Tajiri comeing down in all American stars & stripes, with a giant cowboy hat, & "Real Amercian" theme music with his name being "Real American." I mean come on...that would be funny.
Guest buffybeast Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Hell, they've got people on their roster now they don't have an interest in. Sad, but oh so true.
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 As soon as Vince gets desperate enough, he'll bring in Luger, he's already proven himself to be either insane, senile, or both, so i'm certain the Lex Express will be on it's way eventually, unless Vince blindly stumbles back into success again, which isn't looking likely.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I still say he'll get signed. Luger is not listed for May's WWA tour or anything like that soon, so he's obviously keeping his options open just in case. He's not being brought back because he was a complete asshole trouble maker on the last trip. He was also in pretty bad shape, and bored me to tears, as per the usual.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I don't think Luger should be an option. With the WCW guys that they brought in for ratings, Steiner, and Goldberg, that at least looked good on paper. I think everyone knows that Lex Luger will never be a draw again. It just can't happen. He's too lazy these days to put in a * match
Guest Choken One Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Savage...Yes Randy SAVAGE is the last hope for Vince. Savage can worj in today's environment...
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Savage or Sting would do about the same as Steiner. Bret Hart is the only guy they could possibly bring in that would impact the ratings.
