Guest AndrewTS Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 C+Ped from WWE.com: Backlash notes: Feeling great, Angle comes to the show by Phil Speer WORCESTER, Mass. – April 27, 2003 – Three weeks after surgery, Kurt Angle is here tonight. He attended last week’s SmackDown! too, and plans to attend all television tapings from now on. He hinted that we would see television vignettes with him in the near future, but said we’ll have to wait another month until he’s competing again. “I feel like, even though I’m injured, I’m still a big part of this company,” said Angle. The Olympic gold medalist said he came to Worcester tonight to help, to watch the show and to hang out with his peers. WWE.com last spoke to Angle on Wednesday, and since then he said he’s feeling 100 percent better. The numbness in his arm is gone. “There’s no pain in my neck except where they drilled and where they went in,” he said. “Three weeks from surgery, that’s nothing short of a blessing.” Angle said he would have to wait four more weeks – his next appointment with his physician, Dr. Hae-Dong Jho – before he could get medical clearance to return to the ring. But he’s feeling fantastic. His biggest problem today, in fact, was a bad cold that he’s been fighting for a month. “If my cold were better, I think I would have gotten in the ring today,” he said. “They’re not going to be able to keep me out of the ring next week.” ---------- Whoa, Kurt...stay home a little longer with Karen, I'm sure she's missed you. Glad to see that things are looking up for him, though. Maybe he can read the lines for the SD workers like Anglesault suggested.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I think whoever posted here last month that stated Kurt had no real passion for the business needs to look into this article... I just hope Kurt doesn't rush into this. I kind of agree with Edge that this surgery could be a "bandaid on a gunshot wound" and it scares me that he's trying to get back into the groove of things so soon... which don't get me wrong is admirable, but just a little too risky. I think he should enjoy his time away with his new baby and his wife and let the neck heal 100%

Plus Angle could still go with the fusion if necessary. I do kinda want Kurt to enjoy some time off with his family though, but it seems like he's an eternal workaholic.
Guest Choken One Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Kurt...This your Buddy Choken talking to you... Take this opportunity and enjoy your time off... I know that you are an Eternal Workhorse but There isn't any reason to come back so soon...
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 As much as i'd love Angle to be back, he shouldn't rush back into things right away, hopefully he waits until he's fully 100% and isn't further risking his health.
Guest godthedog Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I think whoever posted here last month that stated Kurt had no real passion for the business needs to look into this article... i don't really know if his passion specifically for the business should be judged by this. kurt's said on several different occasions that he just wants to be the best at whatever he's doing, it's just something that naturally drives him, no matter what he's doing. i don't think it's particular to pro wrestling (although god bless him for choosing it).
Guest El Satanico Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Angle will be back wrestling as soon as the doctors clear him and Vince allows him and not a moment later.
Guest DerangedHermit Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Angle will be back wrestling as soon as the doctors clear him and Vince allows him and not a moment later. Or sooner, for that matter. Kurt Angle rules.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Well Angle can't return to full in ring action until doctors clear him and Vince allows him. Angle would be wrestling on Smackdown this week if it was up to him.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 But he’s feeling fantastic. His biggest problem today, in fact, was a bad cold that he’s been fighting for a month. Does that alarm anyone? I've never heard of a month long cold. f course, I have no idea what else it would be.
Guest Choken One Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Ummm...The Flu? Flu can last awhile some times...
Guest TheArchiteck Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Man, I think Kurt is just saying all that so he can get admired even more. Take some time off...no need to get in the ring a couple weeks after you had NECK SURGERY!

It's more just you catch it again then you've really had it for a month. At least that's what I think about it.
