Guest OnlyMe Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Nothing there that interests me in the slightest. This is the sort of DVD that should have a classic match on.
Guest humongous2002 Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I didn't know that the name Brock Lesnar was copyrighted by the WWE.
Guest JHawk Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I didn't know that the name Brock Lesnar was copyrighted by the WWE. He used it to indicate who the champions are. I assume you were joking, but in case you weren't, I thought I'd clarify.
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Bonus Match...Steiner vs. Rico?! Whoopie fuck, the Heat squash bout. Good Lord, whoever came up with these extras is a fucking idiot. Promos, Confidential bullshit, and a squash match! WHOOO!!
Guest geniusMoment Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Dude you're not backing the mack quite enough. As that event was blacklash not backlash. You're racist.
Guest RedJed Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They should start putting an older Backlash entire ppv as incentive to buy some of these latest WWE shows since I cant see many actually wanting this DVD in the first place given the results and aftermath. Like release the first Backlash ppv (from 99) on DVD as an extra disc or something.

Vince will never consider releasing any old matches from January 1998 to March 2002 on any form of DVD, due to the logo blurring. It's too time-consuming, as well as pricey if any mentions of the WWF are made (having to go back and re-dub the commentary, etc.)
Guest geniusMoment Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They wouldn't need to redub the commentary. They can still say WWF, they just can't show the scratch logo.

In the summer of last year, the WWE was removing any mentions of the word "WWF", by cutting and splicing the announcing. It was evident in the video packages they used for Confidential. I'll try to find a few specific examples for you in a bit.
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I wasn't going to pick this one up, but STEINER vs. RICO!!!! That's it I gotta get it. I love the WWE and all their fantastic extras.
Guest JDMattitudeV1 Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 They should just blur out the turnbukles and put HHH/Rock from Backlash 2000. I saw no reason to buy this show at the time and the extras haven't convinced be to buy it now.
Guest EsotericMaster Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 One after the other. This makes Three Dvd's I need to pick up.
