WWE to give away...

WWE is offering free tickets to its TV tapings on Monday in Mobile, Tuesday in Pensacola and on 6/2 in San Diego for any and all military personnel coming to those events in uniform.

WWE apparently wants to give something back to the men and women who fight for the country, and will allow the military folks to watch TV tapings for free.

All I gotta say is bravo to Vince for this.

Ah....maybe someone could steal a military uniform and get in for free? Sounds like plan, but too bad I live in the Northeast....

well...

at least its wasn't as obviously sleezy as the WCW/Bischoff's attempt to boster their viewers in the mid 99's by having a Million Dollar Give away to...TV fans of the WCW... that lasted about a Week then Bischy was out.

Haven't they suffered enough?

Quote-of-the-Day.

Anyways, It's not very selfless of the WWE since they will either show Military Personel on screen to give the impression that 1)The WWE is Patriotic, 2)The Military (Loyal Americans) loves the WWE and therefore, if you are a Loyal American, you should too. And to add to the sleaze, they will do something stupid with Mr. America and make an angle out of it...

oh, and when you're having a hard time selling tickets, freebies aren't exactly hard to do.

We're slowly heading back into the 80s, guys.

When do the Iron Sheik and the RedWhiteBlue ring ropes come back?

Thank you. :P

Like the rest of you, it just seems a thinly-veiled way for them to fill seats and maybe make themselves look good.

Noticed it's just for TV tapings?

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Huh? I don't think anyone said "I am a military officer! I demand free tickets!" and I don't think anyone wrote letters about how servicemen should get in free.

However, they should at least accept this at house shows, too. But they won't, because it's a publicity stunt.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the WWE via e-mail? Not for this situation, I'm just curious. I went to their official site and I couldn't find a contact link...

Keeps them from being sued. If your suggestion gets used, you can sue for not receiving credit or compensation.

Back when Babylon 5 was on the air and writers used to haunt the newsgroup, someone once made a story idea and received a reply of "Crap! We were going to do just that and now we can't."
