Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Tenay is on WOL right now and they are currently talking a bit about his memories of Freddie Blassie. He also answered a question from a fan about Kurt/Brock saying that they should not really do a face v face for the re match when it comes around. Anyone else listening?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I am. There going to talk about Blassie for most of the show. Dick Beyer is coming on later to talk about him too. They brought Tenay on because he's Blassie's biggest fan.

Guest "LukeWarm" Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I'm listening as well. On a side note, their not lying about this week's observer i got it in the mail yesterday and it's fantastic.
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Meltz makes some good points about the Blassie tribute video. About it being about McMahon's loss, instead of about Blassie himself.
Guest TheHulkster Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I think that Meltz is expecting a bit much out of Vince. I thought the tribute video was great.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 That Tamon Honda crack was a shot at the DVDVR rankings (that can be found in our General Wrestling section)
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 What about Vince apparently putting WWE t-shirt on Blassie at either his wake or funeral ?
Guest Anglesault Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 What about Vince apparently putting WWE t-shirt on Blassie at either his wake or funeral ? I think Vince had the best of intentions there, to tell you the truth. But it was just so, so wrong.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I think Meltzer sums all of the McMahon stuff up very well. "The McMahon's live in their own world. And that world has gotten farther and farther away from the real one over the last few years."
Guest Anglesault Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I think Meltzer sums all of the McMahon stuff up very well. "The McMahon's live in their own world. And that world has gotten farther and farther away from the real one over the last few years." Right. But I certainly don't think he did that maliciously or only for himself. He did wha he thought was something nice.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Right. And only he would think that. Then again...it could be a symbolic thing about the WWE dying as well.
