Guest Anglesault Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Ok, Owen and Bulldog tied with 15 votes each. And I said whoever got the most votes would get a bye this round, and D-Lo and Angle both got 18. So I flipped a coin and Kurt won (Yes! ) So we have a Triple Threat match to meet Kurt in the finals. Closest match last round-Bulldog Ties Own, 15-15. Biggest difference-TIE D-Lo over Regal, Angle over Snow, 18-12 Owen Hart vs. The British Bulldog vs. D-Lo Brown Kurt Angle------> Bye to the Finals.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Bulldog I changed my pick to Bulldog.
Guest WWF4Life Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I'd go with Davey Boy too. After that, it went downhill. Heck, it was HIS title.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Bulldog... ...and how many times did you have to flip the coin for Angle to win?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 ...and how many times did you have to flip the coin for Angle to win? Three times, but that's not the pont.
Guest caboose Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 D'lo it was his gimmick for 1998 and 1999
Guest TheDames7 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I'm gonna have to go with D'Lo....he seemed to get the most mileage out of the title. Bulldog had what....1 maybe 2 defenses before jobbing to HBK IN ENGLAND at One Night Only. Freakin' Ref stoppage to a Figure 4.....fans almost rioted. Dames - Lays Down for NOBODY!
Guest Brian Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Owen Hart, mainly because I'm watching old Calgary tapes now.
Guest muzanisa Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 D'Lo for the reasons mentioned by Caboose and Dames. He made the Euro belt mean something while it always came across as a gift for DBS.
Guest Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 D'lo! Remember when he claimed he had relatives from Europe?
Guest TheDames7 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I just loved the vignettes he did where he was in England, Finland and some other countries. He would always be announced as being from some different Euro country for every match, it was great. Dames - Da Real Deal
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Owen "I'm not a nugget! I'm a blackheart, d*mnit!"
Guest The Man in Blak Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Anytime I think of the European Championship, I think of D'lo.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 D'Lo! You better recognize!! Well, you know he did something right when you still remember his catchphrases, and his "protective" chest device.
Guest X-Factor Corperation Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 And the standings are 6-6-4
Guest Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 D-lo all the way... he seemed to make the title actually meaningfull..
Guest Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 D'Lo. He makes me think of Ski'Lo. And he wished he were a little bit taller. ---> Jeff.
Guest Mole Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 D-Lo Brown D'Lo is the fuckin man, period.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Owen Hart vs. The British Bulldog vs. D-Lo Brown winner: bulldog Kurt Angle------> Bye to the Finals. I don't know about this screwjob shit putting Angle into the finals though..
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Definitely D-Lo Brown. NO ONE respresented Helsinki Finland better, and that includes Ludvig Borga.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Bulldog definitely. Hell I don't even remember Owen being champion.
