Can you help me with what to type to get downloads? I am like completely unable to figure it out.

ok for IRC this is the basic template for how to get the download to start

 

you type /msg [WHH]-XDCC-078 xdcc send #whatever

 

each channel has there own bots and its diffrent but it always starts with /msg and finishes with xdcc send #

 

they tell you what to type at the top of the files like this

so there are slots availible to download so you can get the file right away, it shows the current download speed and everything....

I don't understand what is so good about MIRC. Besides the fact that it is hard to find an open slot, each event is broken in rar's so you have to download 30 or so files.

Aside from the usual problems, downloading from IRC servers is a lot more reliable. I would say about 60% of the stuff I have on CD (music, movies, porn, games) I got from IRC servers... DALNet was the best before their servers went flooey. Doing XDCC is pretty good, most of the people that serve has fast servers, its just that everyone and their mother want the things that you want. Its just a matter of being patient.

The good IRC servers Like WHH and WF dont break there shows up into rars on the XDCC's, if you are getting a show off an f server from wF it would be most likly rared

 

there is alot of rare stuff on irc this week alone i have gotten czw uprising, when hero met punk,ROH BFSE, and 3 old school wcw shows

Is XIW Media Inc. strict or what? The administrator says you have to have 35 posts just to get access in the media forum to see full matches, along WITH continuing to post in the other forums.

The only problem is with my track record of posting here, I'd probably get banned in no time since XIW Media Inc's administrator seems to be more strict.

It's not a very strict place really, just don't go over board on being an ass and stay involved with discussion there after you get access. It's really not a big deal.

The post count is a good idea, it keeps away leechers from SLH, people who cant post 35 times are not likly to contribute anything to youre board, if you dont post after awhile u are just leechin the stuff, so if you cant contribute media or disscussion then they dont want u, all of the good boards with pay servers do this
