Wrath Losing matches

Recommended Posts

Guest ToddRoyal

Here's my match. It's really spotty and I completely understand why Spike's match won. It seems everytime I try to write a gimmick match I either ignore the stip for a regular match or overcompensate and write a spot-fest.

I was also under the impression this was a title match for some reason, so that probably cost me points.

*sigh*

Any other comments would be appreciated.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As SJL Wrath rolls back from commercial, we see the jam-packed scenery of the Providence Civic Center. Snow drifts are piled up outside the arena, and Rhode Island is blanketed with a sheet of white, but inside the arena, SJL die-hards are out in force. The Civic Center is sold out, and though the fans are wet and cold, they’re as loud as ever cheering the return from break. Panning past the audience, however, the camera finds the announce booth, and our trio of commentators.

Annie: Welcome back to WRATH~!

Judge: We’re live from the first Nor’ Easter of the year, and the Providence Civic Center, for this snowed-in edition of SJL Wrath.

Ejiro: We’ve already seen some huge matches, with Landon Maddix taking on Aecas, and an overload of joy when Santa Claus took on Alan Clark. But up next is the match we’ve ALL been waiting for. An appearance by YOUR World Heavyweight Champion, Todd Royal!!

Annie: Geez, I was hoping we’d go ONE night without seeing this idiot on an SJL show.

Panning down to the center of the ring, the camera finds the voice of the SJL, Funyon. As the announcer brings the microphone up, the crowd settles down, waiting for the announcement of the next bout.

Funyon: The following is your MAIN EVENT!!…It is a NO Disqualification match, for the SJL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP!!

The crowd pops slightly for the announcement of a title contest, but quickly grows louder when the lights in the Civic Center dim, and light blue spotlights swirl around the entrance ramp. As Hotwire’s “Not Today” plays over the sound system, the crowd erupts, and the curtain is pulled away. The form of a man is seen stepping onto the ramp, but he is quickly obscured by a wall of white pyro.

Funyon: Announcing first…the challenger…from Hollywood, California, and weighing in at two hundred and twenty five pounds…he is “HOLLYWOOD” SPIKE JENKINS!!!

The crowd roars as Spike Jenkins emerges from the pyro, his head bowed and his feet pumping furiously up and down. Jogging to the ring, Spike pauses inches before reaching the apron, soaking in the cheers of the crowd. Leaping up onto the apron and ducking into the ring, Jenkins throws off his hood, spinning around and pumping up the crowd.

Annie: Spike Jenkins, a former World Champion, looking to knock off Todd Royal, and become a two time champion here tonight on Wrath!!

Ejiro: Yeah, and you’re looking to score with Britney Spears, but neither one is happening. Not tonight, not EVER.

Judge: You have to give a slight advantage to Spike here, as he’s a more high-risk competitor than Todd Royal. Plus, Todd is fresh off a BRUTAL steel cage match with Manson on Metal that HAD to drain him of some of his energy.

As Spike finishes playing to the crowd, and “Not Today” fades off into the background, Funyon steps back into the middle of the ring. Suddenly, the lights in the arena cut off completely, and a eave of jeers washes over the Civic Center. Dozens of small candle flames appear under the SmarkTron, and a soft song of praise comes from the full church choir that flanks the entrance. As a lone spotlight shines on the screen, a stained glass portrait of Todd Royal is revealed.

Funyon: And his opponent…accompanied to the ring by Megan Skye, and weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds…he is the current, reigning and defending SJL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING CHAMPION…TODD ROYAL!!!

With that announcement, the choir is overwhelmed by the sounds of AC/DC’s “Shoot to Thrill” and blue and white strobe lights highlight every corner of the arena. The curtain parts, and Megan Skye steps through- dressed in a shimmering purple cheerleader’s outfit and drawing an small hometown pop. Any goodwill from the fans is erased however, when Skye steps aside, and Todd Royal emerges, the SJL Title around his waist, a small bandage over his sunglass covered eyes, and a tight smirk over his face.

Ejiro: Praise be to Todd! Royal is here in Providence to save and enlighten us all!!

Annie: …mmm…cheerleader…

Judge: Todd Royal has been on a heck of a roll lately, with victories over the Insane Luchador, Unknown Warrior, Aecas, and Manson and he’s looking to continue that streak here tonight against Spike Jenkins. Todd BARELY escaped that cage however, and if he wants to get out of this one with the title, he’s going to have to dig down and show another side of himself again.

As Funyon steps out of the ring, and Royal and Skye slide in, referee Anthony Michael Hall steps toward the competitors. Breifing both competitors, Hall takes the SJL World Title from Royal. Showing it to Todd, and to Spike, Hall raises the belt in the air, drawing a huge pop from the crowd. As Megan removes Royal’s vest and leaves the ring, the bell signals the beginning of the match.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

Annie: And we’re underway in our No Holds Barred Main Event!!

Circling each other, Royal and Jenkins move warily around the ring. Spike raises his arms, offering a tie-up, and Todd is quick to accept. Locking Jenkins arms, Todd pulls him close, locking on a headlock and grinning in triumph. Spike grumbles and plants his feet, trying to shove Todd off of him, but cannot break Royal’s grasp. Backing up instead, the challenger hit’s the ropes, charging forward in an attempt to sling his opponent off the hold. Todd lifts his feet off the mat, however, twisting his body down and taking Jenkins over with a headlock takedown.

Judge: Early advantage here to Todd Royal, trying to keep Spike grounded and to dictate the pace for himself.

Ejiro: See, Spike doesn’t stand a chance. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him tap out right now. A Todd Royal headlock is one of the most deadly submission holds in the history of grappling!!!

Spike offers no indication of giving up however, instead kicking up his legs and wrapping his calves around his opponent’s neck. Royal attempts to push Jenkins off, but the challenger powers his feet down, ripping the champion off the headlock. Grinding Royal to the mat with a head scissors, Spike floats over into an armbar.

Jenkins leans back, wrenching on the arm, but Todd continues to fight. Pushing off with his feet and rolling backwards, Royal turns his opponent onto his chest. Spike growls and presses the champion’s arm into the canvas, but Todd continues to work his way out, spinning across the challenger’s back and locking in a front chancery. Spike releases the arm to fight off the choke, but Todd capitalizes, grabbing the challenger’s wrist and floating behind Jenkins in a hammerlock. Scowling and wrenching in the hold, Royal paintbrushes the back of his opponent’s head with his palm.

Ejiro: Spike can TRY to outwrestle Royal, but our Todd and Savior has counters for every hold that stupid pretty boy can think of!!

Annie: Well, this is ANYTHING but a catch-as-catch-can match, and once it breaks down, Todd could quickly lose his advantage.

Spike takes a moment to regroup, grimacing at the pain in his shoulder, before kicking his feet out to the side, shocking Todd and spinning out into a spinning position. Royal curses and tries to pull his opponent back to the mat, but Spike plants his feet, powering both men up into a standing position. The crowd claps, but Royal springs into action, lifting Jenkins off the mat and driving him down with a Hammerlock Slam.

Before Todd can capitalize, however, Spike kips up off the mat, spinning on his heels and turning face-to-face with Royal. The crowd erupts in cheers, and Todd takes a step back, smirking and clapping in mock admiration.

Annie: Spike Jenkins, showing there that its going to take a lot to keep him down, springing right back up to his feet there.

Royal wrings his wrists and nods his head, stepping in and offering a tie-up to his opponent. Jenkins takes a half step in, but stops short- grinning widely. Dropping down and sliding out of the ring, Spike heads to the timekeeper’s table to retrieve a weapon. As the crowd erupts in cheers, the challenger pushes Funyon to the mat, hoisting a chair into the air. Inside the ring, Todd Royal’s eyes widen as he spots the weapon, and he begins to pace.

Judge: Spike tried starting the match Todd’s way, and came up short. Now he’s heading outside the ring, and going to start this match HIS way.

Annie: Todd Royal, however, NOT making any move for a weapon. You’d think with Spike coming at him with a chair, Royal would want something to fight back with.

Ejiro: Todd needs no mortal weapons! The Hands of Todd are more powerful than any weapon Spike can gather!!!!

As the crowd buzzes at the pending introduction of plunder, Spike heads back towards the ring. As the challenger slides under the bottom cable, Royal hit’s the opposite ropes and takes off running towards his opponent. Spike makes it as far as his knees before Todd slides to the canvas, planting both feet against the steel and driving the chair into the top of Jenkins’ skull.

*CLANG!!*

“OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”

Ejiro: The FEET of Todd take Spike down!!!

Judge: BRUTAL baseball slide dropkick, driving that chair right into Spike Jenkins, and now Todd Royal will take over again.

Instead of grabbing the weapon, however, Todd kicks it towards the ropes. The fans buzz in confusion as Megan Skye retrieves the chair, grabbing her towel as well and wiping down the weapon. The crowd boos as Skye spit shines the chair and slides it back to the champion.

Annie: That’s ridiculous! Royal could be capitalizing on that big blow to Spike, but instead he’s wiping off the chair, and giving Spike a chance to roll to the apron!

Ejiro: I understand completely. First of all, Funyon’s ass was on that chair. No one wants to touch that. THEN, it made contact with Spike’s disgusting hair. I can understand Todd’s hesitancy to touch that dirty chair.

Annie: You’re a spectacular moron.

Todd grabs the newly-freshened chair and spins towards his opponent, but Spike is nowhere to be found. As Royal searches for his opponent, the challenger springs off the apron, bouncing off the top rope and spinning in with a kick. Todd has no time to react as the chair is sandwiched between his face and Spike’s boot and he crashes hard to the canvas.

*CRASH!*

Annie: The Van Daminator! The “I Just Broke Your Nose!” from Spike Jenkins!!

Judge: Todd wastes too much time before the move, and Spike is right back in control!!

“HOLLY-WOOD!” “HOLLY-WOOD!” “HOLLY-WOOD!”

As the crowd cheers the challenger on, Spike picks up the chair from beside Royal’s prone body. Todd tires to climb to his feet, but Jenkins cuts him off, planting the upper ridge of the chair against his throat and pinning him to the mat. As Anthony Michael Hall counts the choke, Spike reaches down, ripping the bandage off of Todd’s forehead, drawing a howl from the champion.

Ejiro: That’s just sick! Spike is ripping the flesh from the injured Todd!!

Lifting the chair off Royal’s throat and breaking the five count, Spike drives the chair straight down into the exposed cut. Todd yelps in pain and rolls over onto his stomach, clutching his now bleeding forehead.

Leaving his opponent to lick his wounds, Jenkins marches across the ring to the opposite corner. Jamming the chair in between the top and middle ropes, the challenger raises his hands in the air, getting the crowd up and cheering. Stalking back across the ring, Spike pulls Todd off the mat. Letting out a enthusiastic “WHOOO!” Jenkins pivots, Irish Whipping Royal towards the loaded corner. The champion puts on the brakes, however, putting out his hands and stopping just short of the turnbuckles.

Ejiro: AHA!! Royal continues to be one step ahead of the game! Todd is your Savior! Todd is…

A smile cracks the face of Royal, but Spike is inches behind him, leaping into the air and drilling the champ with a missile dropkick. Todd crashes forward, colliding with the chair, and with an exhausted groan, slumps against the steel.

Ejiro: …CRAP!

Annie: Todd IS Crap, and Spike Jenkins is all over him right now. He’s reopened that wound from the cage match, and he’s just brutalizing Royal right now with that chair!

As a glassy-eyed Todd Royal leans into the chair and tries to gain enough strength to get back to his feet, a wild-eyed Spike Jenkins makes his way to the opposite corner. Charging back toward his opponent, Spike leaps off his feet and kicks his right foot forward, drilling Todd’s head against the steel again.

Judge: DANGEROUS WIZARD!! Bea-Utiful move by Spike Jenkins!!

Annie: Todd Royal is on dream street right now, and Spike is going to capitalize with a cover!!

KICKOUT!!!

The crowd collectively sighs as Royal’s foot slides under the bottom rope, breaking the pinfall. Spike rolls off the cover quickly however, not pausing to argue with the ref, but leaving the bloody Todd down on the canvas. Leaping up onto the middle rope, Jenkins springs back towards his opponent, crashing down with a springboard leg drop to the face.

Judge: Nearfall there by Spike Jenkins, and he follows it up with a nice springboard leg drop to the head.

Annie: Now Spike rolling to the outside again. Last time he went to ringside, he came back with a chair that he used to brutalize Todd Royal. What’s he going for now!

Ejiro: I’ll tell you what he’s going for…he’s running away! He gave Todd everything he had and it wasn’t enough to put the champ away! Now he’s heading for the Hollywood hills like the punk he is!!

Spike’s journey stops at the ring apron, however, dropping to his knees and disappearing partially under the ring. When he emerges, however, the crowd erupts in cheers as the challenger pulls a table behind him.

“WE WANT TABLES!” *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap* “WE WANT TABLES!” *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap*

Jenkins grins wildly and shrugs, determined to give the fans what they’re chanting for. Leaning the table against the ring for a moment, Spike grabs the guardrail and pulls it partially away from the crowd. As the Providence crowd erupts, the challenger unfolds the table, setting it up between the ring apron and the rail.

Annie: Spike, looking for a big move here, is setting the table up at ringside!

Ejiro: Yeah, well this ‘aint Hollywood. No catering company’s gonna come out and lay out a spread for him. He better concentrate on Todd and the World Title.

Judge: Actually, Ejiro, I think Spike’s planning on making ROYAL the spread on that table!!

Indeed, Jenkins slides back into the ring, grabbing the weakened champion by the hair and dragging him under the bottom rope. As Royal fights to stay make it to even his knees, Spike drills his own knee into Todd’s face. With the champion limp, Spike pulls him to his feet, rolling him onto the table at ringside. With the crowd all around the Civic Center standing and cheering, Spike rolls back into the ring.

Ejiro: What’s that idiot doing?! Doesn’t he realize he left Todd outside the ring? These Hollywood types are real scatterbrained.

Annie: Oh, he realizes it. I have a feeling we’re going to see a big time move from Spike right here!!

“SPIKE!” “SPIKE!” “SPIKE!”

Running against the far ropes, Jenkins rebounds and charges toward his opponent. Grabbing the top rope with both hands, Spike leaps up onto the cable. As the challenger rotates in mid-air, Megan grabs Todd by the straps and yanks him off the table. Spike continues to spin as the crowd gasps, and comes down hard through the wooden slab.

*CRASH!*

“HOLY SHIT!” “HOLY SHIT!” “HOLY SHIT!”

Ejiro: YES!!

Judge: OH! Spike tried for that 420 leg drop, and Megan Skye pulled Royal out of the way, sending Jenkins CRASHING through the table on the outside! Spike is in BIG trouble!!

Ejiro: See?!? Oh, looks like SOMEONE spent too much time showing off and setting up a move, huh Annie?!

Annie: Well, Spike has always been one to put on a show, and that high-risk move came back to bite him there.

With Spike Jenkins laying in a ball underneath shards of particle board, Todd Royal begins crawling around at ringside. Reaching under the ring apron, Todd emerges with a broom. Scowling at the weapon he produced, Royal chokes up on the cleaning implement and brings it down across the neck of his opponent.

Spike recoils at the impact, and the top of the broom shatters, the head flying off into the crowd. Gripping the splintered handle, Todd turns his opponent over, jabbing the shard into Spike’s forehead. As Spike cries out in pain, Royal draws blood, tossing the broom stick away in disgust.

Judge: A psychological, as well as physical attack there by the champion. Spike busted him open early with that chair, and now he’s returning the favor. Royal does NOT like to be bleeding in a match, so by ripping Spike open as well, he’s leveling the playing field so to speak.

Peeling Jenkins off the ringside mats, Royal pivots and Irish whips his opponent hard to the guardrail. Spike collides with the barricade, his head snapping back as he slumps down to the concrete. Toweling the blood from his own eyes, Todd charges in after him, planting his foot against Jeankins’ nose and ripping at his face as he plows forward. The crowd recoils at the impact, but Todd backs up, running in with another.

Ejiro: NICE bootscrapes by Todd Royal, tearing at Spike’s face. With that bloody and re-arranged face I’d love to see him try to get a Hollywood role now! HAH!

With the challenger’s head wedged in between the barricade and the floor, Todd Royal grabs him by the ankles. Raising Spike’s legs off the mat, Royal falls backwards, launching Jenkins body up, and cracking his neck against the guardrail.

“ROYAL SUCKS!” “ROYAL SUCKS!” “ROYAL SUCKS!”

Annie: BRUTAL slingshot by Todd Royal. That could have broken Spike’s neck.

Ejiro: We can only hope…

Grabbing the challenger by the neck and rolling him into the ring, the champion unleashes a “WHOOO!” as he follows his opponent in. Pulling the blood-stained body of Spike Jenkins off the mat, Royal grabs his opponent in a front facelock. Reaching down and hooking Spike’s left leg, Todd lurches backwards, crashing to the mat and bridging as Anthony Michael Hall drops down to make the count.

KICKOUT!!

Annie: Fisherman’s Suplex by Todd Royal, and a BIG TIME kickout by Spike! Royal brutalized him on the outside for the last few minutes, and went for the kill, but Jenkins was able to will himself out at two.

Ejiro: He was INCHES away, though, and one more big move might be the end of the line for Spike.

As the crowd cheers the challenger on, Megan Skye reaches under the corner of the ring. With a sly smile, the valet produces a shiny black baseball bat, engraved with “Todd Royal” in silver along it’s handle.

Judge: The “Hand of Todd” produced by Megan Skye! That must have been under the ring the entire time, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was what Todd was looking for when he produced that broom minutes ago.

As Skye lobs the bat over the top rope to Royal, a smile breaks over the face of Todd. Gripping the weapon, the champion brings it high into the air, pausing momentarily before driving the sweet spot into the challenger’s left knee.

*CRACK!*

Annie: SICK shot by Todd Royal with that…

*CRACK!*

Judge: He may be looking to set up the Wrath of Todd on that knee, but he could end up crippling…

*CRACK!*

As the crowd unleashes a shower of boos on the champion, Royal grabs Jenkins by the hair and drags him to the far corner, where the chair still rests between the top and middle ropes. Leaning his opponent up against the corner, Todd leans back, swinging the bat at full force.

*CLAAAANNNNNNGGGGGG!*

As the champion swings his weapon, Spike Jenkins knee gives out and he crumples to the mat. Royal has no time to check his swing, however, and the wooden bat crashes into the steel chair. Todd screams out in pain and drops the bat, howling and shaking his hands in pain from the impact.

Annie: Todd swung for the fences with that one, but Spike slid out of the way, and Royal struck out swinging.

Ejiro: But just LOOK at Spike. Blood dripping from his forehead, pain coursing through his knee, he’s on the edge, and Todd’s about to knock him off.

Shaking the pain from his hands, and wiping the blood from his eyes, Royal grabs Spike by the neck and rips him out of the corner. Locking in a front facelock, Todd reaches down and grabs a handful of Jenkins’ shorts. Jamming his feet into the canvas and lurching backwards, Royal snaps his opponent over with a suplex.

Judge: Snap Suplex by Todd…

Rolling his hips, Royal gets back to his feet. Taking a deep breath and regaining his hold on Spike’s khaki’s Todd lifts the challenger into the air, arcing him over his head and planting him onto the mat again.

Judge: …Vertical Suplex…

With another roll of the hips, Royal gets back to a vertical base. Breathing deeply, and with sweat rolling down his forehead along with the blood, Todd pauses briefly to regain his balance. Lurching back, Todd lifts Spike Vertical, holding him upside down. As the blood rushes to Jenkins’ head, it begins to stream from the cut above his eye. Grunting, Royal kicks out his feet, dropping Spike skull-first into the canvas.

Judge: …Delayed BRAINBUSTER!!

Ejiro; A Modified version of the Trinity! That could end Spike’s career!!!

The crowd is on their feet and hushed as the champion floats over onto his opponent’s chest, and the official drops to his knees to make the count.

Annie: Kickout!! Spike kicks out of the Trinity!! Spike Jenkins is STILL in this!!

Ejiro: Todd Dammit!! Just lay down and die already!!

Anthony Michael Hall leaps off the mat, holding two fingers in the air, and Royal jumps up after him, yelling and clapping his hands together three times. The referee shakes his head furiously, and Todd curses, turning around to face his opponent again.

Grabbing Spike by the ankle, Royal lays into him with a flurry of shin strikes to the inside of the knee. As the challenger crawls toward the ropes, Todd turns him over, locking in a single leg Boston Crab. Letting out a victory whoop, the champion twists his opponent’s ankle, torquing Spike’s knee even further.

“LETS GO SPIKE!” “LETS GO SPIKE!” “LETS GO SPIKE!”

As the crowd tries to will Jenkins to the ropes to break the hold, Royal leans back even further to try to cinch in the hold. Spike claws at the mat, however, reaching desperately for the bottom rope. The champion’s eyes widen as Jenkins inches toward the corner, and he scrambles to try to pull Spike back to the middle of the ring. With the challenger’s hand inches from the cable, Todd takes a few big steps forward, dragging Jenkins back into the ring.

Ejiro: WHOOOO!! Royal drags Spike away from the ropes and into the center of the ring. He’s got to tap now!

Annie: Not so fast! He may not have go the topes, but he did get the…

*CRACK!*

“YYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!”

Annie: …bat!

The crowd erupts as Spike Jenkins, the “Hand of Todd” in his grasp, swings his arms backwards, cracking the bat against the side of Royal’s skull. Todd topples forward, breaking the hold, and Spike grabs his knee in pain.

Judge: Spike Jenkins was able to grab ahold of that bat, and just DRILLED Royal with it.

With Megan cheering him on, however, it is Todd Royal who is the first to his knees. In the far corner, Spike Jenkins is using the turnbuckles to pull himself off the mat. Royal is doubled over as he gets to his feet, but spins around to face his opponent. Spike is nearly to his feet as well by the time the champion takes off, lowering his head and bull rushing his opponent in the corner. As Royal nears him, Spike drops to the mat however, and Todd’s shoulder crashes hard into the corner, his head colliding with the steel chair.

Ejiro: ACK!

Annie: Todd attempts the spear, but no-go as Spike drops out of the way, and Royal runs head on into that chair!!

As Royal’s eyes glaze over, and blood rushes anew from his skull, he drops through the middle rope, landing hard on the concrete outside the ring. Megan rushes over to help her man, desperately pulling him to his feet as Spike climbs the turnbuckles in the ring. As Jenkins reaches the top rope, he unleashes a pained grin and reaches down, grabbing the chair from between the ropes.

Judge: Spike’s on the top rope. And he’s got the chair!!

Launching himself off the ropes, and holding the chair out in front of him, Spike drops from the sky, right onto Royal with a chair-assisted cross body block!

“HOLLY-WOOD!” “HOLLY-WOOD!” “HOLLY-WOOD!”

With both men laid out at ringside, the fans in the Providence Civic Center are on their feet and cheering for the challenger, Spike Jenkins.

Ejiro: Spike is insane!! He could have KILLED Todd with that move!!

Annie: He could have killed HIMSELF! And honestly, I don’t think he cares! He’s more concerned with leaving Rhode Island with the SJL World Title than he is with leaving with full control of his legs!

Judge: Spike Jenkins willingness to sacrifice his body for the World Title may be his biggest advantage right now. He’s lost a lot of blood, and his knee has to be in pain, but he’s fighting for everything he’s got.

Spike is the first to his feet outside the ring, though he is obviously favoring the left leg as he hobbles toward the announce table. Grabbing the monitors from the table and tossing them to the floor, Jenkins gets the crowd on their feet.

Ejiro: What the hell is that idiot doing over here?!

Grabbing Royal by the straps, Jenkins demonstrates exactly what he’s doing, waving the commentators away from the table, and throwing Todd’s limp body on top of the papers and pens. Running his thumb across his throat, Spike signals the end of the line for the champion as he walks towards the ring. With the crowd standing and cheering, Jenkins pulls himself onto the apron.

Annie: What in the world is he doing?! He’s insane, he’ll never get to Todd from there!

Judge: Spike’s biggest mistake in the entire match so far was taking to long to set up a move onto a table. That missed leg drop early nearly cost Jenkins early on, and he could be making the same mistake here.

Springing up into the air, and off the middle rope, Jenkins arches his back and sails towards the ring. The crowd’s heads turn as one as Spike flips over…

…and lands right on Todd Royal!!

“HOLY SHIT!” “HOLY SHIT!” “HOLY SHIT!”

Ejiro: MOTHER OF TODD!

Annie: Asai Moonsault THROUGH THE TABLE!!

Judge: What a move by Spike Jenkins!! This time he set it up with a big cross body block from the top, and this time he made sure Royal was worn down before hitting the move.

Ejiro: But this is NOT a falls count anywhere match, Judge. Spike’s knee had to get driven HARD through that table, and he’s still got to drag Todd all the way into the ring and make the cover in order to get the win.

As the crowd roars, Spike Jenkins’ head pops out of the wreckage and a dazed grin flashes across his face. Grabbing the champion in a headlock, the challenger slowly drags Royal towards the ring. With a strained grimace, the bloody challenger rolls his even bloodier opponent under the bottom rope and into the ring.

As he steps through the ropes to follow his opponent in, however, Megan Skye reaches under the ropes, pulling Spike down and planting him face-first into the mat. The crowd unleashes a flurry of boos as Spike struggles back to his feet.

Ejiro: YES! Todd Bless that woman!! Megan is a Todd-Send!!

Annie: Yeah, but looks don’t count. She’s desperately trying to save Royal and cost Spike Jenkins his second world title!!

As Skye leaps up on the apron and takes a swing at the challenger, Spike grabs her by the wrist. Spinning her around, Jenkins plants his boot on her rear end, shoving her off the apron and into the wreckage of the announce table.

“YYEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”

Judge: Spike boots Megan right off the apron!!

Annie: Well don’t HURT her…

In the ring, Spike spins back towards his opponent, falling to the canvas. Hooking Royal’s leg and nodding along as Anthony Michael Hall counts.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”

Ejiro: He Kicked out!!! Todd Almighty he kicked out!! All is right with the world!!!

Annie: The brief distraction provided by Megan Skye was enough to give Todd Royal time to recover and he kicked out milliseconds before the three!

Judge: For all the talk about Spike’s desire to win the belt here tonight, you have to take into consideration the drive of Todd Royal. There may be NOTHING, not his looks, not his pride, not even Megan Skye, more important to Todd than that title belt, and he’ll fight to the death for it!!

The crowd is near-ready to riot, but Spike only scowls briefly before pulling himself to his feet. Pointing at the turnbuckles, Jenkins pops the crowd loudly as he drags himself toward the corner. Once atop the turnbuckles, the challenger raises his hand into the air and leaps, sailing through the air and crashing down atop Royal.

Judge: RATINGS GRABBER!!! What a move by Spike Jenkins!!

Ejiro: NOOO!!!!

Annie: This could be it!! Spike’s knee was obviously hurt on that move, and if he can roll over for the cover, we’ve got a NEW World Heavyweight Champion!!

And with a heaving breath and a strained groan, Spike does pull himself onto his opponent. The crowd erupts in cheers as Anthony Michael Hall hit’s the mat to make the count.

The crowd erupts in jeers as out of nowhere, Landon Maddix hits the ring- kicking Jenkins in the head and breaking the cover. As Hall stops the count, Landon pulls Spike off of Royal and drags him into the corner. Climbing up onto the second rope, Maddix spins to the mat, driving the challenger into the canvas with a Tornado Downward Spiral.

Ejiro: Crash Landon!! Landon Maddix is an angel of Todd!! It’s a miracle!!

Annie: What is he doing here?! Maddix used to HATE Todd Royal!!

Ejiro: It’s all legal though! No DQ BABY~! WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

With the crowd up-in-arms, Todd Royal crawls over to his opponent. Grapevining Spike’s right leg, and crossing it over his left one, the champion cinches in the Figure 4 leglock. With Landon Maddix and Megan Skye holding the ropes away from Spike, the challenger’s eyes slowly begin to close.

Judge: The Wrath of Todd!! This could be it!!

Hitting the mat, Anthony Michael Hall raises Spike’s hand into the air and drops it to the mat…

ONCE!…

Funyon: Ladies and Gentlemen…the winner of this match, and STILL SJL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING CHAMPION….TODD…ROYAL!!!

As the camera pulls back on Wrath, the World Champion kneels, surrounded by Megan and Maddix, and holding the SJL Championship above his head. As the jeers rain down, William Hearford closes the show.

Judge: We’re right out of time, but WHAT a night! For Ejiro and Annie, I’m Judge Mental! See you on CRIMSON!!
