My friend said he thinks whoever beats Hogan for the title(he believes it should be clean), will symbolically retire Hogan. Even if he continues after that, it'll be the end to an extent. So who does everyone think will beat Hogan?

Who will beat Hogan?

The answer to that is the same as the answer to "Who Bettah Den Kanyon?"  i.e. Nobody.

Hogan will remain champion until he retires.  Or dies, whichever comes first, and its probably the latter.  And even in death it'll take run ins and a chair for somebody to beat him.

Hogan will never gracefully retire, the guy is a leech and now he is using his popularity to basically say to Vince," Look dude, its 1985 all over again and its in WWF's interest to let me have the belt fot the next 4 years, despite the fact I can hardly walk".

Austin-Hogan is money in the bank. Austin seems to be more over now than he has in a while and with the noticable boos for Hogan (come on guys...i wasnt the only one that heard them tonight) its only a matter of time before Austin gets his shot and beats Hogan. As much as I dont wanna see Hogan hold the title till SummerSlam, I hope thats where the match happens becasue its gonna be at Nassau Colisium and I will be there. I guess that means i DO wanna see him hold the title till then. Oh well....i guess i contradicted myself.

Clean or not, Triple H will probably want Hogan to return that job to him. Whether Vince agrees is another thing.

I'd love for Jericho or his Angleness to get it, but it's not going to happen, so I'll pick Austin too.

Well, I heard last night after Raw that Austin and Hogan went into a showdown, and when Austin stunned Hogan, the crowd went apeshit.  Then I heard they had a staredown and chugged beer together. It's the obvious money match.  It'll probably be Austin vs. Hogan at Summerslam, and it might bring a huge buyrate if they build it up......

I can't see Hogan doing a clean job to loose the title to anyone.  I think at the first PPV where there is some sort of multi-competitor match like a four-way, or six-pack challenge, Hogan will loose the title without being pinned.

Can't have the Hulkster loose to someone who is clearly beneath him like Angle or Jericho.  No sir.  What would the Hulkamaniacs think?

Why not? We've seen it before. WM6 - to the Warrior. There was no screw-job in that match. I think they could pull off the same thing with Austin & Hogan. But that would only matter if I wanted to see two cripples wrestle in the ring... which I don't.

Can't see him giving it up to anyone but HHH or Austin, really.  Possibly Rock if Rock was back fully active in enough time, but I doubt that.  If they keep the belt on Hogan till Summerslam, though, god help WWF main events.  That'd mean we'd have to get through Judgment Day, KotR, and Fully Loaded on our way there, and that'd mean he'd be holding on to that thing for 4 good months.  Personally, I think it's cool to have Hogan around now, because there's definitely interest in him and it's neat to see him interacting with all the newer talent, but I think he works best in quick promos, tag matches, and novelty stuff to pop the crowd.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if HHH won the belt back at Judgment Day.  If that four-way does go ahead, it seems the ideal time to take it back, but then Vince'll have really blown his Hulk load early.  Probably the best thing for business now would be to build to Hogan/Austin at KotR--it's the only real 'dream match' left.  I think it'd be fan-frickin'-tastic if Hogan actually got beat by Angle, or especially Jericho to give a second whiny-heel-I-am-the-greatest title reign, but Austin/Hogan seems the way to go.

It will probably be Austin.... but I have to say I'd love to see Jericho do it (especially because he could cut some truly hilarious promos on the old Huckster...)

An "American Heroes" battle between Angle and Hogan could probably do some good numbers too.

Actually, I think the Big Show will do it and then sell the title to HHH (who of course will be using Half of Stephanie's fortune to pay for it) causing the title to be vacated. Just kidding.

This is supposedly the scenario the Fed's going with for Judg(e)ment Day, with Hogan, HHH, UT, and Jericho.

Two guesses as to who'll get the pin, and who'll do the job. (My prediction: the politicians will end up not losing any heat and the only good wrestler will take the fall.)

BTW, I've fallen asleep for every main event on Raw and Smackdown since the split. Does that mean the show sucks or do I just need to get more sleep?

How about RVD?  I would love to see Hogan lay down for Rob Van Dam.

I was thinking that too.

However, I think Austin-Hogan is the TRUE money match. Not Rock-Hogan. The majority of Rock's fans are just bandwagon marks who were willing to cheer Hogan over him. A lot of Austin fans may be marks who would do the same, but Austin has a more dedicated fanbase than Rock, I think. They wouldn't turn on him so quickly and the crowd would likely be really split. I actually think HHH-Hogan was more split than Rock-Hogan. Maybe even HHH's fanbase is more loyal.

Repeating myself. Note to the wwf. Hogan/Austin for the championship at KOR. Storyline is built in for the event. Austin beats Hogan and is champion breaking the three way tie between Hogan/Austin/Rock of being 6 time champs. Austin wears the strap until WM 19 where he loses the strap to Rock.

Hogan/Angle at SummerSlam where Hogan retires to his theme song of Real American. Hogan wins by the skin of his teeth and Angle is now the true real American. Case closed. Get anymore fancy and the wwf WILL BE BEGGING!!!!!!!!!! to get out of a huge mess. WCW 1999/2000 we do not want.

I think all the people that think Hogan is never going to job the belt need to set the alarm clock and WAKE THEIR ASSES UP!  Come on folks, "Master Manipulater" Triple H's reign only lasted a month (2 less months than poor, abused Jericho by the way) and you think Hogan's going to hold the title for years?  You're mad... MAD I SAY!

Austin has the best odds of taking the strap, then Rock, then Triple H....

I'm gonna go with Austin or HHH on this one too.  RVD/Hogan would be a big money match, but not as big, plus he'd probably accidentally injure Hogan.

Now let's go to dream-world... Given that Jericho has dissed the hell out of Hogan (and I don't read the spoilers so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to be proven wrong), I'd love to see a Jericho/Hogan program where Jericho causes Hogan to lose the belt in a couple PPV's, and forces Hogan to retire.

Hogan better keep the belt until at least summerslam

why?

because if we have 3 champions in 3 months, the title will look like more shit than ever before.

man, hogan was the NINTH world champion when he won it.  Thats since the 70's. He was the NINTH. In about 14 years.

Since then, we've had how many, 35 different champions in the last 12 years?

hart

hogan

michaels

hhh

austin

rock

angle

big show

kane

taker

flair

yokozuna

luger

diesel

foley

backlund

jericho

vince mcmahon

savage

slaughter

all since wm8

before wm began,  there were only 9 champions.

it used to MEAN something

the noticable boos for Hogan (come on guys...i wasnt the only one that heard them tonight)

Ok, so out of all of the shows since WM he gets booed on one show and suddenly he's not over any more?  See what reaction he gets on Smackdown first before writing him off completely.  The Rock got booed in Canada, but that doesn't mean that the WWF should job him out to everyone.

I can't see Hogan doing a clean job to loose the title to anyone.

So was I the only person who watched him drop the WWF World Title to The Warrior and the WCW World Title to Goldberg???

He will obviously lose the Title clean to Austin at Summerslam.  Defending against Taker, Jericho & HHH at Judgment Day, against either Jericho or Angle at KOTR and whoever didn't face him at KOTR will face him at Fully Loaded.
