Kurt angle vs edge

This thread is NOT to bash the feud or talk about who sucks and who will or will not benefit from it. If you have opinions on it, don't post them here.

 

This feud is giving good matches and Edge is becoming more and more popular by insulting Angle and playing the "You Suck" game. How do you think the feud should wind down?

 

I think that Judgement Day should have a tag match with them on opposite teams. The winner isn't important. Afterward Angle gives Edge the Angle Slam through a table nad puts him out. Angle gets on the mic and starts to brag about how he ended Edge's career.

 

Two weeks later Angle takes on Hogan (or whoever the champion is) for the Undisputed Title. As he's about to win it, Edge shows up and causes a DQ. This sets up Angle VS Edge at King of the Ring. They put on another **** match and Edge gets the pinfall. Angle attacks him after the match and they have one last blowoff match on Smackdown! which Angle cheats his way to victory

 

What are some other ideas?

Concured... Edge / Angle was far from being a ****1/4 match, more in the region of ***. It was a fun match, but there was no build to speak of and very little psychology or special extras to take it above the norm.

Edge pins Kurt due to interferance from Christian. The babyface team of Edge & Christian reunite and destroy Chuckabilly.

Here's what I would seriously do. Have Angle/Edge again at Judgment Day. Have Angle win by DQ when Christian attacks, reuniting E and C. Have the Blondes destroy ChuckaBilly setting up the tag match at KotR against the Megadorks. Angle and Jericho win shady, giving them something to do while they can't main and Edge and Christian keep teaming.

I thought Angle/Edge was ****. Both guys rocked and the psychology was there, if you were looking for it. Angle's suplex assault on Edge leading to his comeback with vicious suplexes of his own was fantastic, and the finish was really hot, too. In my opinion, it was really great stuff.

 

As for re-uniting Edge and Christian, I would do it after the singles push for Edge really burns out. Rushing it would be pointless.

The match was ok, but the feud leading to it sucked. Like I said before, if Flair/Steamboat gets *****, then there is no way Angle/Edge is only one star worse than that.

Bit if that's the story they're going with, than there's no point in Angle having three different german suplex spots in the match, because a suplex assault would have dictated that he would have gone a different way, plus with such a heavy assault on the upper back area the first olympic slam should have sealed it. I just really don't see how the "psychology" is any different than any other Angle match other than that his opponent was using suplexes, which is flawed in it's own because Angle's a guy who's offense is heavily based around suplexes and he should, at the point of Edge's reliance, have no problem reversing and putting him away. Just my two cents.

I think Edge's singles push is at it's cusp right now. What will make or break how far Edge can go is whether he can learn to cut a non-comedy promo. His inability to do that is why I think Christian is superior.

I think the match helped both. It reminded me of Bret/Henning at Summerslam. It was the first time that Edge looked like he belonged and the first time that Angle worked really well with a lower tier wrestler.

I think they should make it serious now and forget the comedy and see if they can cut it with a bit of intensity thrown in.

Flair/Steamboat is the best match, that doesn't mean all other matches are ranked based on that one.

Christian mainly cuts comedy promos, but he had some promos during the Edge feud that I really liked. Notably the shit about "Mom made one mistake Edge, having you."

The lines weren't great but Christian really sounded bitter and full of rage. This showed me he CAN cut serious promos, though as a wasted Heat act now, they have him doing comedy, cause he doesn't even have a feud.

    After Christian and some ECWCW lackeys beat him down and Christian cut some (IMO) viscious promos, Edge came back with some boring shit about how Christian wets the bed, etc. Not Edge's fault, the writers'. Still, though, his few serious promos he's cut have been pretty subpar in my estimation. Probably has to do with his goofy voice.

As far as ranking Flair/Steamboat *****, you gotta remember that the 5 star limit is as high as it goes. I remember reading in one of Keith's rants, that he would give it more if he could

The Flair/Steamboat I'm talking about is the 2 out of 3 falls, o the WrestleWar match.

That idea wouldn't really work to well because what do you do if a better match comes along lower its ranking? If Steamboat vs Savage was ***** does it go down to ****1/2 after Flair vs Steamboat?
