Guest Frankie Williams Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 Why they havent changed the design of them? They have been the same since 1985. I know they are cool looking but i am curious why they are the only "main" WWF title belts not to change their look.
Guest Special K Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 'Cause WWF cares dick all about tag champs, aside from maybe the TLC era.
Guest Risk Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 Maybe they shouldn't have the belts if this is how the WWF treats them. I always thought it would be a good idea to have only the Heavyweight and Cruiserweight titles.
Guest Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 yeah I'm kind of in favor of disbanding the tag division, at least for now. Maybe bring them back sometime when the WWF actually has some tag teams worth the time of day to push
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 The brand extension pretty well fucked the tag division for the time being. billy and chuck are going to continue their feud with maven and snow it looks like and that isn't a bad thing because if should give the wwf enough time to decide what they are going to do. dropping the title wouldn't be such a good idea. look what happened to the europeon title after that happened.
Guest Risk Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 I also think they should disband the European, Hardcore, and the IC. That way you only have... Heavyweight Cruiserweight Women's
Guest The Man in Blak Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 What's wrong with not changing the belts? Keeping the same belts could almost *gasp!* lend the title some tradition and history, regardless of the fact of whether the tag division currently sucks big ding-ding.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 Two months ago, I too would have wanted the WWF to drop the Euro and a couple other meaningless belts, but with the spilt now happening, I find it a bad idea. Each brand has its own unique belts now. Raw has the Hardcore and Women's division while Smackdown has the Tag and Cruiserweight Division. The only thing in my mind that needs to be done is for the Euro title to jump ship to SD and become a mid-card belt, similar to Raw's IC Title. Then, each brand would have its own uniqueness and a *hopefully* respectable mid-card belt.
Guest Risk Posted April 27, 2002 Report Posted April 27, 2002 I think having all the belts makes the belts lose prestigue. The WWF NEEDS meaningfull titles right now, with football about to start up. The WWF's monopoly could choke it to death with all the talent, EVEN with the split.
