The Hulkster lets loose on tons of topics.....

Hulk Hogan was on Mancow’s Morning Madhouse yesterday from 10:00 to about 10:45, almost an hour past when Mancow ends broadcasting. In the long interview, he talked about a bunch of stuff, ranging from his wrestling career, his battle(s) with Macho Man, deaths in wrestling, what he’s doing today after being out of wrestling for a while, and what WWE could do to get back into gear.

First off, he talked about working London/Manchester, and said it was always huge. Of course, they instantly got into Macho Man vs. Hogan. They totally blasted on “Be a Man”, the single that Macho Man had last year. After Mancow asked him why he didn’t just beat him up and end it, Hogan said he was sick of doing it, and that was the truth. They then talked about Brooke, Hogan’s daughter.

Hogan said that “the truth hurts”, after they informed him that Patterson had quit WWE. He was shocked at the news, though. They then rapped on Mr. T, saying how great he is (as he appears on Mancow’s show quite often).

Hogan said that his wrestling career is “out, done”. They then talk about Meet the Hogans, a program being filmed for VH1. They didn’t give much detail on it, other than it’s a reality series showcasing the Hogan family.

Turd, a Mancow’s Morning Madhouse crew member, talked about Mean Gene being drunk at a WCW event years ago, and Hogan just laughed. Hogan said that he and Mancow go “way back” and he was glad to be in the studio.

They took some calls and a regular, Crazy Mary, called and was mad at Hogan for not talking to her at a book signing in the past, and they made fun of her. (This is what they normally do)

Back to wrestling, Hogan said that wrestling needs to get away from “robotic styles, storylines, and get a real dose of Hulkamania”.

Mancow said that Wal-Mart needed a greeter, jokingly, and then he said that his first appearance in WCW with now was great but after that – it was all downhill. Hogan agreed to an extent, and they jumped to another subject.

They then talked about dying wrestlers, and Hogan says that “they don’t know how to switch gears, and they need to learn how to come off that high and rush and be normal.”

Hogan said that he hangs out with The Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart. Hogan then talked about Miss Elizabeth and Randy Savage, how they had a great relationship at one point and then one day it all changed for the worst.

They then played the clip of Piper on Mancow, talking smack about Hogan. Hogan replied that “if it was Pipermania running wild, we’d all be living in shacks right now.”

Mancow asked if a couple of guys were insane, Bob Backlund, and Ultimate Warrior, and Hogan said that Backlund was but he wasn’t too sure about Warrior.

Mancow asked what the highlight of wrestling was and he said his match versus Andre at the Silverdome. But when Hogan came back and wrestled the, Rock that was one of his favorite moments (WM18).

Then it all started, Big Goonie came in, a regular crew member (portrayed as a ‘retard janitor for the studio’) who lives for one thing – Hulk Hogan. He constantly talks about him and was immediately happy to see him. Goonie had some questions, and asked how he is doing after his surgery (where he had his hip and knee replaced with metal), and he said he was doing great and “pain free”. Hogan says that he’s always setting the metal detectors off at airports.

They went on about a whole bunch of other stuff, like Hogan’s underwear, dating his daughter (do’s and don’ts), and more callers, and other stuff to end off the nice, long segment. It ended with Mancow playing the Real American theme, where you could hear Hogan singing in the background.

Basically, they talked about old wrestlers and their favorites over the years. A bit of talk about his daughter (as that was one of the reasons they are in Chicago, she’s doing a show here sometime this week) and the reality show. Having his wife and kids in there, was a great moment that really rounded the segment off well, and I think this will go down as one of the greatest wrestling appearances on the Mancow show ever.

Is his career done? To me, it sounds like he wants to come back to WWE and change things up and get wrestling going again.
