Can the wwf save face?

Of course the WWF doesn't have any foresight at all, but what if Hogan turning face and ruining the product's quality was intentional in the storylines, and after Backlash he reveals it something along the lines of it was his plan all along, rejoins the NWO, and goes heel again, and maybe even sets up a feud with Stone Cold (which could actually draw I think). Like if it was a swerve to think the NWO would behave like they did in 1996, when they really were killing it this time instead of boosting business.

 

Would the WWF dare reward viewers for remembering storylines? Doubtful, since they expect Rock to be best friends with someone who tried to kill him a week earlier.
