Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I've been reading on a few wrestling news sites that its very likely that Ric Flair will join the New World Order on Raw this coming Monday. Personally, i think an addition such as Ric Flair will do the faction wonders, if not give them *some* creditability which they so very much need. When Nash gets back, and possibly if the WWE (i was gonna start Hate Thread number 5490538509384580345834 for that name, but ill pass) signs Steiner then the Order could actually be a force to be taken seriously. Flair has always been a good heel anyway... This has been the Oriental Taker Mark
Guest Some Guy Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I disliek the idea of Flair joining the nWo but it will help them to get over. I like my idea where Flair brings in WCW to fight Austin, Austin beats them all and then out comes Goldberg for the big money match. They're getting Goldberg anyway, so it makes sense.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 i still don't think they're getting goldberg. and *IF* they do it will be mishandaled. but anyway...flair shouldn't join the nWo but he is so it's a moot point.

That would be a great idea...what WCW stars does Flair actually have on Raw to feed to Austin though? CREDIBLE stars that is...although if your going to bring in Goldberg, they could be jobbers...Austin could clean house...then be obliterated by Goldberg... SMEEEEEEELLLLLL That buyrate This has been the money-hungry Oriental Taker Mark (who's names are starting to get a little long)
Guest mathbrat Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 The NWO is a dead horse (or hoss, whatever you prefer). Flair is a baseball bat. Nuff' said.

I agree that the nWo should of stayed in WCW, the longer you drag out a gimmick to more boring it becomes... However, the addition of the Big Show is bound to win back many fans...oh hold on...its not 1985 This has been the Oriental Taker Mark
Guest RickyChosyu Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 While I think it's a good idea from a storyline standpoint I don't know how this will affect the Vince/Flair feud, as it will require the feud be either dropped or a Vince face-turn, which, after the recent sticks with Stacy, just isn't happening. Then again, it's stupid to accept continuity in storylines from the WWF as it is today, so why bother.
Guest JHawk Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Some free advice for Vince McMahon: Do not, under any circumstances, have Flair join the nWo. I know a lot of the WWF's current fans (I refuse to use that other name) have no idea what WCW was, but those of us who do will NEVER buy Flair as nWo. NEVER! And with the ratings droppin as it is, you cannot piss the smark off anymore than you already have. Are we supposed to forget Flair getting the cage door slammed on his head? Are we supposed to forget the six months he missed because the nWo and Eric Bischoff blackballed him? Obviously we are, but we're smarter than that. You know why nobody's reacting to The Big Show joining? Because he's already been booted out twice. It makes no sense. But you say "we're going to get these guys over, logic be damned." Logic be damned indeed.

SMEEEEEEELLLLLL That buyrate This has been the money-hungry Oriental Taker Mark™ (who's names are starting to get a little long) My original idea was that Flair loses to Austin at JD, he realizes that he can't do it himself so he throws a few WCW jobbers at him on Raw who Austin beats easily, than he brings in Jarrett (or some other free agent WCW guy and Austin wins, then Steiner faces austin at the July PPV, Austin wins. Then Flair goes for the biggest name he can think off so he gets Goldberg, who beats Austin at SummerSlam, they would then feud over the fall and winter if it works well. That's the best Goldberg scenario that I can come up with.
Guest notJames Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Word around the campfire was that Hall and Nash veto'd any chance HBK had of joining the nWo because they felt his cowboy schtick wouldn't play well in their hip, bad-boy image. So how will Flair fare any better? Things are going to get worse before they get better...
Guest Mole Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Well, atleast Flair is GREAT at being a heel.
