Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 http://www.wwf.com/news/headlines/1134925 They did a little feature on him on the website. They must want to sign him or whyt else would do this?
Guest Human Fly Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Did Just Joe wrestle on TV once. The best thing he was involved with was when Stone Cold came back and said "I heard Just Joe was a sorry son of a bitch!" and then proceeded to beat the crap out of him.
Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Did Just Joe wrestle on TV once I recall him in match with Dean Malenko on Sunday Night Heat. I recall not being impressed.
Guest Risk Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 He competes now as Joe E. Legend. He is supposed to be well liked in Canada.
Guest Eric the Eagle Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Just Joe basically was a "make these guys hate each other" backstage device who occasionally wrestled. He'd approach wrestlers backstage and tell them completely fabricated stories about other wrestlers, i.e. "Do you know what Edge and Christian said about you?" He got the name since *every* coversation would open with the other wrestler going "who the Hell are you?", to which he'd answer "Joe". "Joe who?" "Just Joe"... He wrestled occasionally on Jakked and Heat (including a tag match with Gangrel, where he for some ungodly reason came up through the circle of wire with him. Silliest entrance seen in a while... On a sidenote, the head teacher at my wrestling school recently wrestled him in England. He had nothing but good things to say about him. My teacher guessed there was just a question of time before they picked him up again.
Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Residing in Toronto, I can say I've seen Joe wrestle quite a few times - and he's NOTHING special. In fact, he's not that great at all. We're talking about a guy who had to have his two buddies get him his original job with the WWF. This guy also used to sport the biggest fucking mullet I've ever seen in my life. Bah, whatever. I'm seriously getting fed up with all of the bullshit that we're fed every monday & thursday (not to mention once a month on ppv - but when was the last time I actually bought one of those?). I've been watching the "WWF" since 1979/80, and I honestly thought I'd never get so fed up with them that I wouldn't care anymore. And that's what I find myself doing these days, Not Even Caring. Sad to say, but it seems like wrestling in North America (well, USA & Canada, I don't get much Lucha up here) is a dying industry... =\
Guest Tha Cunnysmythe Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I saw his match with Malenko, and that made me realise how good Malenko was. Joe was just so damn slow, while Malenko was outshining him completely. He sucked.
Guest TheMikeSC Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I can't say that I missed him. >>> Well, I CAN say I missed him. I'd be lying, mind you, but I can EASILY say it. :-) -=Mike
Guest Mad Dog Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 Just Joe is nothing special. Hell I didn't know people his size could move so freaking slow. I saw most of his WWF matches. He wrestled at a Raw I went to and he didn't impress me. He's like Val Venis only nowhere near as good.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 6, 2002 Report Posted May 6, 2002 I dunno, I kinda liked Just Joe. When I saw his backstage character, I thought 'Oh, so that's who does GTV' for some reason. Ahhhh, GTV, so pointless it was just pointless
Guest Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 I thought Just Joe was an amusing guy to have around. He had a cool TitanTron movie too. It had pictures of him with little speech balloons saying "I'm Joe, Just Joe" and "Don't shoot the messenger" (his other catchphrase). ...wait a minute. Who WAS responsible for GTV, anyway?
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 It was Glen Ruth aka Thrasher aka the more talented of the Headbangers
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 Just Joe was a good guy to further storylines and stuff but inside the ring he wasn't anything special, and would still be getting his ass kicked on Jakked if he wasn't fired. PS. Mosh rules!!!
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 sure Mosh rules, but Thrasher rules more. Thrasher carried Mosh in the Headbangers.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 He wrestled occasionally on Jakked and Heat (including a tag match with Gangrel, where he for some ungodly reason came up through the circle of wire with him. Silliest entrance seen in a while... On a sidenote, the head teacher at my wrestling school recently wrestled him in England. He had nothing but good things to say about him. My teacher guessed there was just a question of time before they picked him up again. He was in the Brood or he only came up with him in the circle? Did they explain that? DAmn the WWF......oh sorry WWE doesn't even give a halfshit about Jacked. Who is your wrestlnig teacehr btw? And Thrasher was never behind GTV. They never finished it. Are those two still wrestling? I used to like them.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Just Joe use to be pretty good...he wasn't really given a fair chance in the WWF... In 1996/97 he was involved in a great heel stable in Insane Championship Wrestling in Michigan. CANADIAN THUG LIFE Joe E Legend...Just Joe Rhino Richards...Rhyno Christian Cage...Christian Sexton Hardcastle...Edge Definatly some of the best indy booking ever went into that. And Joe and Sexton use to be known as Sex & Violence. I'd like to see him back in the WWF
