Remember 2001?  I think that was the first year where comedy really dominated a lot of backstage viginettes.  I mean you could look at all the Angle/Austin skits and it seemed to just carry over to everyone else.

Good thing was that there was awesome wrestling despite tanking storylines to back that up.

Vince obviously liked this, and the comedy was surprisingly great.

Well, lately I see that the comedy is still awesome ( Booker/ Goldust )  but the wrestling has died.  Vince keeps pushing hard for all this comedy and he's good at it (the writers are, I meant)

I think he should send his writers to comedy central and get a new crew.  They aren't totally talentless.

Right.  I like the comedy, (actually I don't anymore, thanks Edge)  If I wanted to watch Comedy I'd flip to some other channel. Good mixing of elements on WWE TV is good, but damn the wrestling sucks right now.

The comedy portion of WWE was at it's very best with the Angle and Austin hugging contest for Vince's attention.

Damn right, Booker/Goldust has potential, but it is almost like Booker in comedy just buries his credibility for the sake of comedy.  Angle and Austin were in the top program and were funny.

But he's Fun Loving Edge!!!! He's so wacky and entertaining!

Actually, I couldn't agree more.

Seriously trhough, how the hell can the guy get the mega push when he puts on Hogan's gear, cuts down his own arms and his line in the end is " he called me Brother, that is sooooo coowall"

Plus he had the stupid homoerotic grin. Come on!

The comedy is not all that bad.  The problem is that you have the comedy that works and is hilarious(the Austin-Angle stuff, for instance.), then you have comedy that basically fails, and only serves to waste time(Lucy the dog taking a dump on the floor, for instance.) Unfortunately, for awhile, it rapidly when down to unfunny segments which basically made for less time for things like wrestling, so the WWF went from being an entertaining mix of wrestling, comedy, storylines, etc. to one big, terrible amateur comedy hour.  At least now it seems to be going less towards comedy, and Booker/Golddust has been awesome comedy.
