Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 I was half asleep watching Metal on Saturday night (it comes on at 11pm) and I saw or heard Hugh Morrus having issues with Lance Storm. I kind of watch Metal every week but I don't remember them having any matches or promos or anything. Does anyone have any background on this?
Guest converge241 Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 they have just been wrestling each other for no reason every week in a scintilating feud that has gripped everyone's attention and imaginations. maybe they have "issues" from the rection days or something
Guest art_vandelay Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 You must have missed their match on Metal a couple of weeks ago, which resulted in a double count-out. They might have had another match a week before too. Who cares, nobody gives a shit about Jakked/Metal.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted May 7, 2002 Report Posted May 7, 2002 I care about Jakked/Metal...well, I used to anyway. Now that Tajiri is on Smackdown, and most of the other guys are on Raw/Heat, that leaves little reason for me to care about it. Plus, they seem to be having guys like Maven on such on there now that they want to build the show into something, and stupid double count outs and pointless angles. Ah well, at least there is Sunday Night Heat.
Guest hunger4unger Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Hugh actually cut a promo on Metal a couple of weeks ago that Storm took offence to, thus starting a mini angle. The subsequent matches were better than anything you have seen on WWF TV this year.
Guest raptor Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 They may be referencing the fued from WCW, as well. I know they used an older angle to help set up the Raven/Richards match, so they could be doing it again.
Guest Nevermortal Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 The Richards/Raven match was set up because Raven called Stevie a "wacko" the week before, they didn't reference the Flock angle, and if they did it was in passing.

I hope they stick with it and make the staples of the syndicated show wrestling and more wrestling. Hell with the recaps!

Yea, I used to have to do that for Metal, until they moved it to 11pm around here (San Francisco bay area), for little if any apparent reason. Did this happen anywhere else as well, or does anywhere else have Metal late at night instead of in the morning?
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 btw, the matches have been good .. i was just knocking the idea of just throwing the guys out there week after week when there is no sense of mobility or decent reason for the feud.. i alwasy tape jakked for later viewing, its become a neat little hour, minus the recaps.. why recap on that show anyway? what does it even get for a rating an 0.2???
