Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 If your a fan of Smackdown..and don't wanna 'know stuff' about it..i suggest you hit the back button.. On Smackdown it was announced that Jericho & Trippers will collide in a HELL IN A CELL MATCH at Judgement Day, now being the huge Taker fan i am, as soon as i hear HELL IN A CELL i mark out, even if Taker isn't apart of it. But straight up, i honestly believe it will be an awesome match, Jericho can TAKE bumps, Triple H can take small ones so IF THE EFFORT IS THERE (ahem, Paul? You hear that ?) then this has some ground breaking potential.. However, do you think Jericho would do a crazy bump like Foley? Or maybe the more subdued yet cool approach, such as Shawn Michael's effort at Badd Blood against THE ONE AND ONLY GOD OF PRO WRESTLING THE UNDERTAKER? Phew, now im excited...im gonna go build a cage and throw my brother off the top.....just kidding Vince. This has been the Old School Taker Mark
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Jericho & HHH in Hell in a Cell at Judgment Day! Score! One really really cool gimmick match to make up for the really really dorky/Russo-ian stupid/cool gimmick match (I think we know which one I'm talking about, even though Hair matches have been around since long before the days of Russo). I know Jericho can do it... but I somehow doubt HHH has the desire in him, especially now that his buddy Hall is gone. I don't think there will be any crazy bumps, but if there are they're obviously going to be taken by Jericho. If HHH is motivated, however, this can be the best HIAC since Undertaker v. Shawn Michaels (which I think was the first HIAC).
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Hmm. Why not just combine HHH vs Jericho and Taker vs Hogan and have a 4 Way Hell in a Cell for the Title??? I guess that would be too easy..

Well im not entirely sure if the whole 'clique' is as tight as they used to be...i mean it is heavily rumoured that Trippers shook off his supposed 'best friend' ( nice one Paul ) Shawn Michaels when he was set to return a year ago... Wouldn't surprise me if HHH was the one who got Hall pissed in the first place...after all he WAS A MAJOR THREAT! Taker Mark predicts Taker as the new champion, and Jericho being piledriven through the cage with Vince running out to fast count him, then verbally berate him for his company failing. This has been the Taker Mark
Guest Smeghead Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 If your a fan of Smackdown..and don't wanna 'know stuff' about it..i suggest you hit the back button.. It's a little late for that, as "Jericho & HHH - Hell in a Cell" is in plain view in the topic. Please think about that the next time you post a spoiler.
Guest goodhelmet Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I would normally be excited if this was 2000 and I thought there was even the slightest chance in hell Jericho would go over. Unfortunately, I think it will resemble Bossman-Taker more than HBK-Taker. HHH is that.. damn.. slow!!! Oh well, good intentions and all! And why are they putting a Hell in the Cell on a crap ppv like Judgment Day.

Judgement Day is always pretty damn good, i mean last year was a corker if you ask me, i LOVED it, as was the year before ( HHH v.s Rock Iron Man )...whats so crap about that?
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Trips is probably to slow to make this match Really Great but Jericho Will Hopefully Make it atleast a *** match. I just have a feeling Jericho will really step up like he did on SD against Hogan and take some pretty good bumps probably not as crazy as foley but more like shawn's. Maybe Vince will realise booking Fucked up Jericho's Title Rain not Jericho. PS. Go Jericho Go. Go Jericho Go. Go Jericho Go
Guest caboose Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Hmm. Why not just combine HHH vs Jericho and Taker vs Hogan and have a 4 Way Hell in a Cell for the Title??? I guess that would be too easy.. Hogan in a HEll IN A CELL?!? LOL. Seriously, can you imagine Hogan in a Hell in a Cell? No Bumps, No climbing to the top of the Cell, he'd just sit and wait to legdrop someone. Though knowing Hogan's lust for Money, If Vince doubled his contract. Hogan may take a bump of the top. I know I'd pay an ungodly ammount to see Hogan fly off(stumble) the top of the Cell through the announcers table ala Mick Foley.

Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Flying of the top of the cage? Piledriver through the cage? Let's hope we won't see any of that Foley stuff. I love Mick Foley but I don't want to see anyone try to do what he did in the HITC with Undertaker. It's just too dangerous and risky. In my book it's a much bigger risk than the late great Owen hart took when he had that fatal accident in 1999. Jericho can put on a spectacular show without risking his life and I hope he has sense enough to do it that way.
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I cant wait for this...hopefully they will put on a real match and not rely on the cage spots as a crutch. I like the way the beatdown sounds at the Smackdown tapings..could be a good episode
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Jericho could make a name for himself on this one, but in a good way, I mean he can really cement himself back to where he should be after that terrible run of booking he had. McMahon will realise soon...Jericho is the way. Looking forward to it as it should be a great matchup especially if HHH steps up and he probably will, going by some of their matches (Last Man Standing one in particular.)
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 (Last Man Standing one in particular.) yes that match and the Raw "title change" were quality.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I'm hoping this will earn Jericho some well-deserved respect from the marks. He busts ass and cuts good promos. He deserves the respect/titles that Shawn earned back in the day.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 god when i first read this (on wrestling observer.com) i couldn't believe it- i really hope neither of them get seriously injured.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 i'm looking forward to this match i really want it to be a good match most hell in the cell's are we know Jericho can work HHH is slow but could probably still put on a decent match if motivated Too bad we all know Jericho will job to HHH's intensity I'm also expecting Steph to come back Kane style and pull the door off beat both there asses and go for the double pin
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Jesus Christ, I'm scared Jericho is gonna break his neck! He's known for blowning spots in "Big" matches. ~(Says a Prayer)~
Guest Renegade Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I'm actually a tad dissapointed that HHH and Jericho are going to be used for HIAC. My reasons: I'm pretty sure that there wont be any huge bumps as a huge bump could really mess Jericho up for good (shortening his career by fair bit). @No Way out when HHH faced Foley, sure he was busted open, but it was Foley who took the heavy bumps. My point is that if you want a GOOD HIAC, you need to use someone that can take a huge bump to make the match memorable. HHH vs Jericho will have too much wrestling involved, and I'm not saying thats a bad thing, but for a HIAC, you need a proper all out bumpfest, and I dont think it will happen. I think they should of just had a normal one on one.
Guest Singular Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Wouldn't the logical move for this match be Jericho going over? I sure hope so. Somebody is going to have to bump huge, (Jericho), since this is hell in a cell and not just a cage match. Double turn anyone?
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 As it has already been pointed out in this thread, this HIAC match doesn't have to be an all-out bump fest. As long as they channel the spirit of HBK-Taker and not Mankind-Taker, everything will be fine. This match has the potential to be very, very good, but I still don't know if I'm going to order the PPV. I mean, Hogan and Taker? Good lord!
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 It's not really about a bump-fest. But if they're channeling shawn/taker, then there has to be at least ONE big bump. I just hope no one gets a finger caught in there.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Why is this a hell in the cell match? Are we going to start having these on every PPV now instead of cage and ladder matches like last year? HHH and Jericho shouldn't even be entering the cell in the first place and the only reason it worked so well with HHH the first time is that he has Cactus Jack in there with him. What I want to know is, who is taking the sick fall?
Guest Nevermortal Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 So they are going to pop the crowd huge with the HIAC, then serve them a big steaming helping of crappola with UT/Hogan? Yawn. They must've realized that UT/Hogan wasn't going to draw shit so they bring out their moneymaker, Hell in a Cell.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Jericho is taking the sick fall. He must be punished for his horrid 4 month title reign and fued with HHH that was in NO WAY steph's fault.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 There will be a big bump, no doubt, but I doubt will be of the Foley going through the cage or Foley or Rikishi going off the top of the cage variety. I don't think Vince wants to lose any more people.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I'm putting my Bid in the pool now for "4 run ins" during this match.
Guest Singular Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I'll say 3. Two McMahon's and a wrestler.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Steph makes her comeback. Just throwing an outrageous claim into the hat. Though knowing her, I'm sure that with recent problems, she thinks the WWE(that just sounds so stupid) could use a heapin' help of Steph.
